It is not a matter to get excited about ! What I'm expecting from a high magistrate is to put his personal opinions, whatever they are, on an ignore list while he's taking an important justice decision.
BTW, it's possible that Kennedy is foaming now when he learnt about Alito's first decision ! If it's not true, I enjoy the idea !

#482 | Getting excited, in the US vernacular and the way I used it only means that I will withhold judgement. There is no way any justice ignores his personal feelings when making a decision (thats a myth of the right). What Scalia and Thomas do, and what I expect Roberts and Alito to do, is taylor the law to fit their personal beliefs. They are no different that the "liberal activist" judges.

In Belgium, by the 3 powers rule, magistrates are not allowed to 'taylor' the laws.
The 3 powers are : the legislative, the judicial and the executive. Magistrates are only part of the judicial power.

She said she's and adult and wants to be treated like an adult--if she screws up she wants to be criticized because if she does well, its marignalized and minmized by the fact there's no converse criticism. As Rush said, he wishes there were more like her (and there are more as time goes by). She understands that liberal patronizing is the worse kind of racism. You don't need an "evil" motive to be racist and that's what liberals don't understand. Simply treating someone different, even better, because of their race is racism. Liberals just don't get it though--they pander to blacks and blacks are starting to tire of it. I think once Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Ted Kennedy die (or go crazy from syphlis), we can really start making some progress in true equality--that is people being treated the same--exactly the same.

Truth of the matter is I always hesitate and am often reluctant to use any derrogatory comments about the former group for fear it will be deemed "racism" (even though I think their policies are idiotic just like Kennedy, Clinton, and Daschle). I've been called a racist many times for expressing a view oppossing government policies that are "designed" (allegedly) to address the problems of racism which I think are ridiculous and will add to the problems.
