Failed American States
When states we allowed to join the Union there were certain population criteria they had to meet before they were considered for admission. Obviously the idea behind this was that to have the advantages of statehood they had to be able to carry a certain weight.
But some states have failed to maintain any semblance of maintaining their populations.

There are now some states which have all the benefits of statehood with extremely few people. Thus they are able to have power and benefits far exceeding their equatable portion.

Since there are 50 states and 300 mil people that works out to an average of six mil/state
The median value (50th percentile) which is probably fairer here is a little over four mil.
Wy ,Vt, SD ND Mont, Del and Alaska all have populations under one million.
What reason is there to keep themas full members of our Union?

Leaving Delaware out (it was an original signee) these six states should be returned to territory status and their fate redecided. If territories were excluded from agricultural subsidy the resulting depopulation might allow for increasing the size of Indian lands and national parks.

They were allowed to join the Union after the Civil War. They joined under those regulations. We have no need to kick them out now just because they have a small population. We have no need to start another Civil War. We lost enough lives back then.

I want to know what blog he stole it from without crediting the source.

We know it's not his for three reasons:
1. It's an original thought.
2. It's presented in a coherent fashion.
3. All the words are spelled correctly.

He plaguerized it no doubt, but I'm wondering if it was a joke or he is serious.

Actually--I'd say the failed American states are the blue ones. I can find you at least a dozen Constitutional provisions they don't abide by!

I think its a conspiracy to eliminate small cars by the oil companies-the statehood issue is just to divert our attention. Next will be the elimination of anyone too short to reach the high shelves at Walmart-who knows where this will all lead if we don't do something about ir NOW !-Unite and Invade !

Well I think it is unfair.
As an example there are four contiguous states ND SD WY and MT who together have 12 electoral votes and a combined population of 2.8 mil.

As a comparison AK has about ther same pop but only 6 EV

Mass has the same # of EV but a population of 6.4 mil

If we got rid of the Blue states then the Red states would have to start carrying their own weight on taxes.

LOL!

How about we add up all the taxes paid by Republicans and compare it to all the taxes paid by Democrats. Which do you think is going to be more!

God what a Moore-On. I can't believe you make the argument that Democrats carry the tax burden in this country!!! LOL! God that's precious.

Can you be any less informed?

If the Blue states were gone, then you'd finally be living in a Red state!

Your dream, no?

Well, that's an interesting paradox for me. Unlike most people who decide which side of the political fence they sit on based on which party butters their bread, I am much better off in a blue state than red, and I couldn't be in a better one than California for my job. The trial lawyers are huge contributors to the Dems and in turn, the Dems make it very easy for anyone to sue anyone esle for just about anything, so there is plenty of business!
