Jews can't go to heaven: Falwell
I used to respect John McCain, but he has now aligned himself (for political gain) with Falwell!

And McCain wrote a book on Honor!

Well, I'll be damned. At least, that's what the Rev. Jerry Falwell says. Last month Mr. Falwell issued a statement explaining that, in his view, Jews can't go to heaven unless they convert to Christianity. And what Mr. Falwell says matters -- maybe not in heaven, but here on earth. After all, he's a kingmaker in today's Republican Party.

People like Falwell (and I know plenty of them) are the reason I don't go to church.

I hate to put myself in a position of defending Senior douchebag, Jerry Falwell, but in essence, if you believe that Christ is the new covenant for the Jews and Gentiles alike, then he is correct.
If you don't believe that, then you're not a Christian.
Having said that, I'll bet McCain regrets aligning himself with Falwell in any way.

Well if he regrets it, he should stop actively doing it.

McCain was never a favorite of mine...so I'm giving a neutral reply.........to align himself with Falwell will get him bucks...but will it get him votes!

The sad thing is that many fundamentalist Christians believe Falwel and if you read the scriptures carefully his position is well founded. Then again, Jews think they are God's chosen, and Muslims think that their's that Mohammed was the final prophet. The point is that every religion thinks that they got it right and everyone else has it wrong.

Exactly why Christianity is not a religion.
