Hi CB! Here's an article about it! I see this might bring down the price of gas....please don't tell me this is just another of Bush's well timed political moves to get his job approval rating back up!

.S. to restore relations with Libya

From Elise Labott
CNN

Monday, May 15, 2006; Posted: 11:53 a.m. EDT (15:53 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The United States will restore full diplomatic relations with Libya and remove the North African country from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, the State Department announced Monday.

The removal from the terrorism list is expected to take place after a 45-day waiting period.

"We are taking these actions in recognition of Libya's continued commitment to its renunciation of terrorism and the excellent cooperation Libya has provided to the United States and other members of the international community in response to common global threats faced by the civilized world since September 11, 2001," said a statement from Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The move is likely to have a major impact on oil markets, and could even bring down fuel prices, CNN National Security Correspondent David Ensor reported.

I doubt very much if this is true.

I would say Moammar Gadhafi is playing Bush like a fly fisherman.............hook, line and sinker. The spots on that leopard haven't changed. We can recognize Libya, whom we all know sponsored a terrorist attack on Americans, but not Cuba? Makes no sense.

Of course it makes sense. Cuba doesn't have any oil and Libya does. Clear as the driven snow to me.

The buck-a-gallon gas. Trust me--the liberals would have no problem giving Hussein the Nobel Peace Prize (just because in the past two years, he hasn't killed anyone! ). They gave it to Yasser Arafat for godsakes--the man is a terrorist and they gave him the Nobel Peace Prize!
