Do you think this is a good idea? That youthful sex offenders should inform their date's parents they have committed a sexual offense....until the offender turns 18? I don't see why the appeal...
it sounds like a good idea to me!

Almost a guarantee the offenders will remain dateless though!

This
bad boy did something nasty to
his own half-sister!

Who knows who his next victim might be! I sure hope he is getting counseling!
Sex offender must warn date's parents

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) --
An appeals court on Tuesday ordered a teenage sex offender to warn the parents of anyone he dates about his conviction until he turns 18.
Lawyers with
the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, which represented the youth, said they will appeal to the state Supreme Court.
Tuesday's decision upheld an earlier ruling. The three-judge panel said that the unusual restriction placed on the teen did not violate the state's Juvenile Code or circumvent Megan's Law.
The defendant in Tuesday's case pleaded guilty in 2004 to committing a sex act against his 6-year-old half-sister when he was 14.
As a condition of probation, the judge in the case mandated the boy to notify the parents of anyone he dates about his conviction until he is no longer a juvenile.
Several lawyers questioned how probation officers could enforce the restriction, because by doing so, they would have to define "dating." http://wireservice.wired.com/wired/s...toryId=1525894
