Question Solved: Is it legal?!!!
Hi i've come across adverts for making money quick using i certain shopping site on the internet which involves sending emails to people with your name on a list.
When they get the email they send £5 to the person at the top of a four person list with you at the bottom, remove the top person on the list, put their name at the bottom and then pass it on to their friends etc.
If you understand once you have sent it to 25 people, and the next person sends it to 25 people who send it to 25 other people and the next to 25 other people, in theory once your name gets to the top you get £5 x25x25x25 etc.

Is this legal? As the so called shopping site lets people advertise this even though it could be so called illegal?

I hope i'm not breaking any rules here as i've not posted any names and where you can find them but I'm curious to if this is legal or not and what can be done if it is as my friend showed me this and i want advice to give him on the matter, so he doesn't fall into any scam.
I know it risks £5 of his money but if he really thinks it will work or at least give him his £5 back are there any legal issues involved in this that could get him into trouble?

Oh by the way, legally the laws governed here are British so any issues legally will be governed by british law.

Many thanks.

Hi buginson,

Welcome to TSG !

That game is forbidden at your French and Belgian neighbours. I guess it may be the same in UK.

Last couple of days have been dry and it looks like scattered showers mid week.
Brisk outside, but pretty nice.
Nice m/c weather
