I have to ask this...apparently some guy who molested a young girl in Nebraska was put on probation because he was too short. Does anyone else think this is B.S.? He's 5'1", so he shouldn't have jail time?? What the heck was that judge thinking? Of course he's going to get picked on, he's an abomination, and that has nothing to do with height!

He doesn't deserve to "survive". 13 years old?? He may not be too safe on probation, either.

Hi farmgirl. Welcome to TSG.

I just showed this to my hubby for the first time...he says they need to make a short people prison then. Can you believe the logic in this? We lock up people for 10, 20, 30 years who are thieves yet a child molester can avoid jail for being too short. And if he murdered those girls too......? I hope the public outcry is so loud that the judge cant get a moments rest!

It also makes you wonder, what other kinds of things could you get away with for being short? I'm 5'2", do you think I could go to Nebraska and rob a bank? Not that I would, but it's just, if they don't put a guy who committed an atrocious crime behind bars where he belongs, surely they wouldn't put someone who committed a less horrible crime behind bars, that would be some sort of discrimination I would think. Discrimination against people who commit lesser crimes maybe....?

I know what you are sayin' girlie. They say that 5'3" and under is considered short. I'm 5'3"..so I guess I could get away with a whole lot of things if I lived in Nebraska!
