"Being Republican is more than a difference of opinion - it's a character flaw."

End of discussion.

Isn't it amazing how much flaming a simple mention of a book title and the word 'discuss' will result in?

Just thought I'd quote the flamers for posterity

Sorry I left you out Stoner. Next time you'll just have to try harder to rise to the status of 'flamer'

Have a nice day.

The knee-jerk reaction is to bring out their tired labels; "racist", "Homophobe". The liberal playbook is actually little more than a simple pamphlet. I'll throw a couple labels around myself. The so called "leaders" of the left are nothing more than Poverty Pimps and racists themselves. All they had in 2000 was "Bush sucks" All they had in 2004 was "Bush sucks" and all they will have in 2008 is "Bush sucks" Ya gotta bring more to the table than "Bush sucks" kids. Not one viable idea for any alternative to the current administration's policies has ever been put forth.
I'm not a Republican either so you can stop before you start on my being for those assholes. Bush is wrong on Immigration, he was wrong on the Dubai Port deal, he was an idiot for saying "bring it on" and he was a fool for prancing around on that aircraft carrier deck in a flight suit talking about "mission accomplished. He is no Conservative, believe me.

But he is correct in one thing, something has to be done to transform the Middle East after the British ****ed it up around the turn of the century by arbitraririly carving it up without regard to ethnic demographics. There has to be a modern democracy in that part of the world besides the Jews. We need some way to bring those people into the 21st century, even if it has to be done with alot of them kicking and screaming because they will miss the 13th Century. They are mighty angry over in that part of the world and I can't say I blame them. They are just angry at the wrong people.
And if you want to talk about the stated reasons for being there in the first place, Bush simply had the balls to act on what every other intelligence agency in the world believed in the first place.

But this is indeed a record. No policy idea was even discussed in my op. Not bad.

I can't say much for the throughness of your thinking, but I will give ya high marks for speed.

After reading your post, I'm enlightened. I want to be a conservative now, how do I start being a conservative? Any ideas?
