Talking Vegan,Vegetarian Or would you rather have a Rare steak
Hi all
This is what the Vegan Society as to say about it. All over the world, farmed animals are kept in the most appalling conditions and exploited to the limits of their endurance.Deprived of their basic freedoms, separated from their children, closely confined, forced to undergo stressful and often painful procedures, neglected, ignored. Then slaughtered and butchered and eaten.
You can help by living on fruit and veg, instead of milk and meat. They make one exception, mothers can feed their babies on brest milk.By the way the Vegetarian Society can help you get special footwear & clothing.
I realise that the human race in the weston world is drifting father away from the way nature made us . But when I read about the people who follow these sort ways to survive I have to feel sorry for them.
Regards
Rex

Ya know, I saw something about this yesterday or Sunday, some guy talking about killing humans to protect and preserve animals. I don't remember what channel it was on, and I didn't watch but a few seconds, I thought he was in need of medical help...

EDIT; BTW, I like mine medium...

I always knew there was a reason why I didn't eat Little Veallies. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I also don't eat Asparagus because they howl like a stuck pig...oops, bad example I guess.. when you cut the tips off.

Of course being a Vegan would limit you from receiving your B12 therefore requiring a Supplement . If one is fearful about their Cow being abused before being Butchered then Go to a local Farm where they treat their cows a little Better. Pay the Farmer for one and take it to a Butcher. Stock up your Freezer full of Beef. 2-3 Years later Repeat

I love my rare steak. However, when I was growing up, my family purchased a cow to keep on our land. Every winter we would send it to the butcher and have meat for all of winter.

This winter I will be going hunting. Not because I think it is some perverted sport to shoot a defenseless animal, but in another sense, I want to know the meat I eat is natural as possible. Not a steroid injected, hormone fed, bred in captivity animal.

I will also say that the current methods of raising animals for food is the reason I am eating more green. I have a salad almost every day for dinner. Sometimes no meat for days. But then...I get a craving for some beef. So we bbq.

I couldnt kill an animal myself but i'm all for hunting and love the taste of game meat. You can get at least 50 pounds of venison from even a smaller deer so if you compare that to the cost of lean beef...you really cant go wrong. Plus you have the added bonus of no added chemicals and dyes. oh and wild turkey, partridge and pheasant...makes freshly farmed chicken and turkeys taste like canned meat..there's just no comparison.

I love my steak rare with sauteed mushrooms and onions. yum But I have to honestly say that I eat more chicken and pasta. But every once in a while I have cravings for that red meat.
