More millionares than ever...
The number of millionares is rising rather quickly. Worldwide there are approximately 8.7million millionares. That's approximately 1.3 per 1000 people. This is nearly double the 4.5million in 1996.

Because people keep claiming that it's hard to become a millionare, that money is in the hands of fewer and fewer people...and that's simply, NOT TRUE.

When was the last time a poor person offered you a high paying job?

(assuming you have some education and/or talent and/or positive attitude and/or respectability and/or dependability)

Well, technically, poor people have offered me work, but for some reason they expect me to work for free, they figure because I make a fair amount and my current job(s) that I can afford to work for free...annoyingly, if you offer them a trade, their labour for my labour, they decline.

For real! Why can't people grasp that it takes millionaires and/or high earners to start businesses and stimiulate growth/the economy? You've got to spend money to make money, and you need to HAVE money to spend money - but god forbid some people make more cash than everyone else!

Congress just voted itself another pay raise last week. It's done so every year for the last decade.

Funny how Congress understands the concept of inflation and the cost of living, yet raising the minimum wage is still a huge issue (and it would destroy the economy!)

This was the most important thing I learned in social studies: "The purpose of Government is to protect the ruling class."

Touche!

I think this part of the article explains it. Gas at three dollars per gallon.

"The red-hot Middle East saw nearly 10 percent growth in millionaires -- the world's fastest rate -- with record oil revenues and soaring stock markets pushing 300,000 people over the million-dollar mark."
