Rush Limbaugh was detained for drug possession...again
Limbaugh's Viagra jig up?
By AP

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Rush Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours yesterday at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities said they found a bottle of Viagra in his possession without a prescription.

Customs officials found a prescription bottle labelled as Viagra in Limbaugh's luggage that didn't have his name on it, but those of two doctors, the Palm Beach sheriff's office said.

A doctor had prescribed the drug, but it was "labelled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes," Roy Black, Limbaugh's attorney, said in a statement.

Investigators confiscated the Viagra, which treats erectile dysfunction, and Limbaugh was released without charge. The sheriff's office plans to file a report with the state attorney's office.

No Wonder Rush is so uptight...he can't get it up....lol

I didn't know doctors could prescribe in their name. Wonder if that is legal?

I'm confused... prescribe it to another doctor for privacy... huh? I thought doctor-patient-pharmacist dealings were usually supposed to be confidential.

They are to a point. Dr. can not tell anyone about what he prescribe. But the name is suppose to be on the bottle by law. So they know if inspected like in Rush's case. that he is suppose to have them. the way it was it could have been John Doe for all they know.

Maybe Rush was taking the Viagra for heart failure and didn't want anyone to know....let's not rush to judgement!

You can't be serious? If it was you and I no one would give a damn to even check the label on the prescription. When is the last time anyone looked at your prescriptions when you traveled? If I carry prescriptions, they would be in my briefcase or my wife's purse and I can't ever remember either being searched but if they were, I guarantee you no on would go to the detail of reading our prescription lables!

And where is the liberal outrage for violation of privacy? Am I the only one that sees a problem with airport security looking at people's prescription bottles? If this was Jesse Jackson, what do you think the reaction by the left would be?

They'd be crying racism from the highest mountain peaks (no pun intended)!

Big deal. It's not like the other mind / body numbing drugs he got caught with before. He'll get a high alright and with any luck it will wear off in less than 4 hours. If not according to the tv commercials he should seek medical help. The guy might be a bimbo but he still deserves some privacy.

I know that Florida just passed an act revising much of their prescription laws....but I'd have to look for it. But I suspect that this, like the last, is more about who he is and less about the facts of the case. Seems to me I've heard of movie/music 'stars' doing the same.
