Mexicans and Cubans in the US
On the talk radio show they are talking about Mexicans and Cubans in the US taking all the jobs.

Also buying up every thing !! And better off than the people in the US

So what are they doing ? I know some people was saying that Mexicans and Cubans in the US taking all the jobs. Also buying up every thing !!

And what is this problem to legalize the Mexicans and Cubans that DON'T belong in the US?

Sell a lil weed, poison some kids with coke and you also could be wealthy and "buy up everything".

I was involved with the Mariel boatlift and man that was just nasty. I had all the luck, I came from the mid east to Key West just in time to impound a few thousand boats.

I would not have minded if I were onboard a ship catching these scum, but I was shore duty tagging them and recording where the Kitty Katt was beached.

Horrible duty. We should have put a missle into each boat and the hell with them. Key West's crime rate jumped about 1000% immediately. Little Havana?? LOL, how about Gitmo north? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariel_Boatlift

They are not taking all jobs. For one, the only jobs that they are 'taking' are the low paid, no skill, no hope of promotion 9-5 or 11pm-6am (depending on the job) jobs that the americans don't want to do, whether if it's pride, financial or just being lazy.

Secondly, they are not taking it, they are given it, at a lower wage that benefits only the company.

They are taking far more than the jobs that people don't want...and many people whom other's may deem as lowly because of their job status take great pride in the so called menial jobs....taking pride in making a living...one is by no means better due to job status or income...perhaps better off...but not better. That's a twisted belief by the upper crust....One whom looks at others and judges them due to money or job status is the lesser of the two anyway. Many of those menial jobs help support many American's...the grass roots of this nation. And the American's need the job's that so many others think are below them....Don't buy into that nonsense of the Latino's are doing the menial jobs only...and that American's don't want them...it's nonsense for the most part....the latino's etc.. are also in many other occupations of so called higher status...and if you're working...how can anyone judge a person for putting food on the table?

I'm seeing entire construction crews of Latino's on worksites...in offices etc...and some are undoubtebly illegal..in Seattle we called it the millionaires club....street corners filled with illegal Latino's willing to work for chicken scratch and the contractors much more willing to pay them $40.00 a day vs. twice that for a legal worker...so business's have there dirty hands in the mix also...taking food and pay from those whom deserve it the most...thousands of jobs given to illegals to save an allmighty dollar...actually millions

You might want to add a specific area to the poll, such as a particular region.
And, what radio talk show?

Lets see, 40 years ago this country had steel mills, this country had automobile plants. Those jobs were shipped out overseas because "they would do it cheaper".

OK, now we have sold most of the manufacturing jobs, (Maytag is now made in Mexico) soooo...........now we sell what is left of America to the lowest bidder, the immigrant.

I really have no big issue with this but, ten years ago the housing industry had bad jobs just like they do today. However ten years ago framing carpenters were mostly white American guys with the guts to walk a wall.

That same job today is filled by Mexicans working for less than we worked for 10 years ago. Housing prices haven't dropped, only the pay scale for building that house has dropped.

Immigrants don't take American jobs?? Tell that to my buddies who are now working for less than they did ten years ago. They do take jobs, they do lower the pay scale. It is not right.
