Non Contraversial Icream Sale
With all the heated comments about the hotter summers, I went up to Krogers and bought some icecream....Breyers to be exact, the 1.75 quart box.
It was stickered 4 for $10, normally $5.39 each.
So I took 4 and at the check out, my Kroger card reduced it to 4 for $6.

If you are near a Krogers and you need ice cream, now's a good time to stock up

Hmmm ... don't really know if this thread is a calming influence or a bad influence (for my waist-line ). But what the hey ... upon further investigation I discovered a quart of Island Farms Cherry Supreme in my freezer.

Why was I thinking , upon reading

"... heated comments about the hotter summers ... bought some ... Breyers to be exact ... It was stickered ... now's a good time to stock up ..."

, that this discussion was going to involve the NYSE?

Edit: forgot the smilies again

I cannot do ice cream ...so i make the closest thing to it........OH MY GOD THIS IS YUM................... Seriosly

Peach Berry Frozen Desert

One 8 OZ. pkg. fat free Cream Cheese, softened
Two 6 OZ. Cartons Peach fat Free Yogurt
1/2 of an eight OZ. container Lght.Cool Whip
1 Cup Pitted , Peeled Fresh Peaches
or frozen, or canned.
1 Cup, fresh or frozen unsweetened blueberries or raspberries
1 banana, sliced

1) In Medium bowl, combine cream cheese and yogurt. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed til smooth.
2) Fold in whipped topping, peaches, berries and bananas.
3) Pour mixture into a 2 quart square baking dish.
4) Cover and freeze about 8 hours.
5) To serve, let stand at room temp. for about 8 hours.....cut into squares..

I personally double this recipe, and precut it, and it lasts almost 2 weeks for me....

I don't let it sit for 45 minutes either, as I eat only one slice at a time.....

I cut it at about 4-6 hours when I first freeze, and that way it is easy to cut out one piece at a time each day....sometimes I have to hot water the knife

mmm...sounds good Gabriel.

We dont have a Krogers anywhere near us so I cant take advantage of this deal...waaaa... I just had a fudgicle tonight though. Lower in calories than ice cream but takes care of my chocolate urge.

ohh Jack is you ever get the chance to try Perry's Panda Paws...(chocolate ice cream with chocolate fudge layers and whole mini peanut butter cups...you wont be sorry). But i guess you wont be needing more ice cream soon any time soon, eh?
