It doesn't work that way {Norad} ---a big subject and a technical one.
Nobody can stop everything --esp low altitude attacks that orginate here---as this was.
Only good intel and a wary Govt could have stopped it --maybe. >f

Though in fairness, when Israeli jets flew out to bomb the Iraqi Nuclear Plant at Osirak in June 1981, S Arabian air defence radar was reported as being 'out of commission' that day.
