There was a news item this morning on the autopsy of the person who shot and killed the deputy in Florida.

Nine officers shot a total of 110 rounds of which 68 struck the suspect.

The sheriff was quoted as saying: "I suspect the only reason 110 rounds was all that was fired was that's all the ammunition they had," Judd said. "We were not going to take any chance of him shooting back."

The officer he is suspected of killing was shot 8 times. Seeing the suspect got hit 68 times by nine offficers means each officer conceivably hit him 7.5 times. Seems kind of ironic.

I am sure the people such as our our local Quanell X will be doing their thing to inflame the situation if possible.

I personally believe this type of person and ones like the scum in Colorado, that not only molested those girls but killed one, should live to suffer for their crimes instead of choosing "Suicide by Cop".

Large amount but not outrageous. Sounds like each officer emptied most or all of the clip into the guy, assuming they were using 9mm pistols. People tend to do that sort of thing in the heat of the moment especially if they are on edge or not accustomed to shooting someone.

That or assault rifles, I wouldn't doubt many of them had them. I can see this happening especially considering the original circumstances. Doesn't take long to pull the trigger 10 or 12 times, I know I could get at least 2 rounds off every second. 1 round a second fairly accurately and I don't even shoot that much.

Who cares how many times he was shot--too bad he wasn't killed earlier in his career --before he killed the Officer. The only thing I think about is the officers wife --and the 3 children left without father.
This "thing" was nothing but a animal--even less. Total human waste and needed to be killed. There are "people " who need to be killed --even if that fact may upset some liberals. How many bullets ? not enough nor soon enough!!.
I followed this thing closely when he was fugitive --the Sheriff did say --if he wants a gunfight --he will get one.
He got one.
Good riddence --would have shot him myself and slept well afterward. >f

Isn't that what a SWAT team does? They don't take turns shooting. He was asked to raise his hands and he had a gun in hand so that's the end of that story.
