Amish Children
I want to know your thoughts about the Amish girls being murdered in a P.A. school.

Whats the point---everyone is upset ----some whacko goes into a school and kills innocent children---what other reaction would there be?

Nah, because the school was relatively close to his home. He really didn't give a darn whether or not they were Amish or not---he just wanted to kill some female kids. Its not that complex and why he did it probably has to do with a form of mental illness.

What can one say....except remember these little innocents so cruelly taken from their families....

Naomi Rose Ebersole, 7; Anna Mae Stoltzfus, 12; Marian Fisher, 13; Mary Liz Miller, 8; and her sister Lena Miller, 7.

The two sisters....how does one live through that... And Anna Mae's sister is among the wounded...too tragic for words...

This sums it up eloquently for the faith among the families of the dead:

"We think it was God's plan and we're going to have to pick up the pieces and keep going," he said. "A funeral to us is a much more important thing than the day of birth because we believe in the hereafter. The children are better off than their survivors." - Sam Stoltzfus

I'm not so sure I could be so forgiving as they are....

There's another with Mariska Hargitay as a cop investigating an Amish young lady who allegedly killed her newborn.

Amish country is beautiful and serene....

I saw that film when it was released here 87 / 88, with Kelly McGillis in it too.

Great film, and since I really am 'English' it was a real eye opener since I had no notion such people existed.

Must take real courage to remain a pacifist no matter what.

By all accounts this geezer was a scumbag.

Took k.y jelly with him - hmmmm ... wonder what that was for ?

The only decent thing he did that day was put a round through his own brain pan.

In future any of these people who are foolish enough to surrender, should at once be turned over to the families of the hostages..

Makes anyone upset.

Even more cruel is that he was going to molest the girls. I hope the three girls fight thru.
