Hello all !

today at work we where standing in the break room having a break , and we somehow got into a debate on religions

he is a baptist christain

I am a methodist christian

HIM:that anyone who did not believe what he believed was a sinner , stupid and going to Hell.

now me hearing him say that get me going so i said "how do you figure" and he said thats what it says in the bible
ME: said show me where it says that

HIM: says am going to hell because i questioned the "holy book" ,


ME: so i said , am i going to hell since i believe in "god", but dont think other religions are wrong ?

HIM: he goes , yes you are because believe in things other than the bible

ME: i say no...... i never said i believe them but i said that they are not wrong

HIM: he says that i am going to hell anyway and walks away

I just stand there and laugh

what do you all say ?

is it wrong to believe like i do or is he right?

He didn't answer your questions because he isn't smart enough to have the answers. It's obvious he's been raised with those ideas and to him that's all that matters. His laugh would be enough to give that away.

Just kidding south, I think you're right. Besides, there have been other testimonies that prove (if you believe) the Bible is the Word of God. Dead Sea Scrolls for one - although I have never read them.

You are definately going to hell-----write me and tell me if its worth the trip. By the way, whenever some nutcase religious freak starts doing his thing, I always tell them that I read it all and I am in total agreement. Then I walk away and find the closest bar.

He doesn't sound too knowledgeable about religion, including his own. I was a Methodist and changed to Baptist. Both religions use the same Bible.
