When will we protect the lives of the Iraqi people.
When will we protect the lives of the Iraqi people.
Should we give Iraq back to Saddam Hussein?

Should our troops protect the lives of the Iraqi people from each other forever...be their lifelong babysitters...and continue to see our troops slaughtered on an almost daily basis? Who's protecting our troops...who was there to protect the 103 troops we lost in October as they were there helping the Iraqis?

The Iraqis are killing each other...every day...our troops can't be everywhere to stop the Sunnis from slaughtering the ****es and vice versa...

well I guess it depends on your defintion of protect. What about all the horrors visited on the Iraqis while he was in power Or now by all the terrorists and even us to some extent. There is no quick fix. There never will be. For anything

At this point the Iraqis are making their own mess, and frankly I don't think it's our job to clean it up. The sectarian violence will never end because they hate each other too much. The best thing we could do at this point is leave, because I'm sure things will calm down at least a little. Right now we're not doing anyone any good at all.

Our government should be taking care of its own people first -- then it can be charitable to the rest of the world. Charity is great and all, but when it comes down to it, you really need to be taking care of your own.

Well, seeing as the lives of 103 Americans are more important than thousands of Iraqis, i am 100% with you on pulling out angelize.

They need to step up to the plate and protect themselves! Saddam is not an excuse anymore. They can run through the streets like maniacs about a cartoon so why can't they rebel agaist insurgents?

Im just borrowing angelize's conclusion. I mean... who cares if we are practicing Christians (or Teapot realisers)... that doesnt mean that we should help all those people dying in Iraq at the risk of 103 of our own men, who volunteered to go in the army, and knew the dangers, and decided to go to iraq, and wanted to die for a noble cause....

WINNER! Lamest post/thread award for the Month of November.

Please explain to the group how returing Saddam Hussein to power will protect the lives of the Iraqi people.

redivivus thrives on sarcasm! God forbid he ever be serious or give an intelligent reply to a serious question posed! redivivus doesn't even get the gist of my post...if the Iraqis are being murdered on a daily basis by their own people...this murdering will go on even if our troops aren't there...so why should our troops remain there in harm's way...

I have a feeling that Karl Rove will wait until October 2008 until the hanging takes place.

And it does seem pretty obvious that Saddam Hussein had a handle on things. He was sure able to keep the peace with, unbelieveably, less violence than what the Iraqi's are seeing now. And I believe that when all is said and done, it will take a leader like Saddam to control the sectarian hatred. So they'll end up with someone just like him.
Too bad GW didn't do a little studying first, or at least ask his dad.

For some reason I just don't believe that.
