Ah yes, looks like the slinging Bandit has just taken Typo Taliban to new depths
Why is it that so many anti-war TSGers have such a loose idea of "attention to detail"?

Because that would mean getting your facts correct. Liberals would look even more stupid if they had to argue the actual facts so it becomes necessary to be imprecise, to fudge and to generalize.

You are walking a thin line, you want all "Conservatives" held to the standard you claim here?

IMO, some people don't want to see the death and injury stats on this trumped up war. I still wonder why the injury chart hasn't been updated in over a month?

As of Mar 23, 2007 (4 more deaths today, non-mortal chart still not updated since Feb. 3, 2007!!)

US Casualties: 3234

Coalition Casualties: 3492

Non-Mortal Injury chart not updated by DOD since Feb.3, 2007.
The 32,544, TOTAL - MEDICAL AIR TRANSPORTED, figure has surely grown. The casualty figure grows almost daily. Wonder why DOD hasn't updated the Non-Mortal Injury chart in over a month since they reconfigured it? For reconfiguration see:

So .. the Lancet report and estimate was based on genuine figures.

Quote:
Shortly after the publication of the survey in October last year Tony Blair's official spokesperson said the Lancet's figure was not anywhere near accurate.
Quote:
If the Lancet survey is right, then 2.5% of the Iraqi population - an average of more than 500 people a day - have been killed since the start of the war.

Glad you posted that, but I'd have made a bit more of it. Yet another example of the cynical political elite being found out in there lies. No attempt at an apology of course, just usual spurious spin 'the survey's methods were "close to best practice" and the study design was "robust".' (does anyone else want to kill when they hear politicians or their lackeys use the word "robust" )

Thanks for the info. Both governments are trying to suppress the death figures IMO.

As a physician (albeit retired) I have great respect for Institutions such as "Johns Hopkins". One of Americas foremost centres of specialised research. The Lancet too, would be very cautious of including anything in it's pages that were not exactly au fait.

Well .. just a few thousand more lives will come to an end before reality kicks in with the "Death before Dishonour" brigade of bloody blinkered thinkers. Sat there in their cosy homes sipping their Perriers with a lemon twist
