We were lucky that it was gobbled up---he's a radical leftist who makes bizzare claims like "Blackwater" has 20,000 men on the ground acting as paramilitaries attacking innocent Iraqis.

You probably don't have to worry about radical christians until the Pope starts asking for Crusades again.

When the Templars, Hospitallers, and Teutonic Knights orders start popping up again, then it'll be safe to say Christianity is attacking Islam.

For now, there is only one "side" in the Middle East using religion as a weapon and tool. Your Hamas, your Fatah, your Al Qaeda, your Iraqi Islamic Jihad, the semi-cohesive organizations utilizing religion as their driving force are almost 100% on "that" side.

The closest the US has come to that is in our President's personal beliefs...Which basically amount to nothing. And I haven't heard him mention The Big Guy in a couple of years now.

No need to grasp for straws when the economic and political reasons are right there for everyone.

The not attacking the military and law enforcement thing is a by-product of Conservatism's sense of duty and loyalty to government and country. It is only noticeable now because the military's actions become a subject of jousting between the two parties. Our fighting men tend to become political fodder as of our last three major wars. It wasn't noticeable in the first Gulf War because the ground war lasted about 100 hours...It didn't last long enough for critics to latch onto shortcomings or mistakes and begin to breed dissent.

Again, there are rational explanations behind why religious folks in the US might not be critical of the military or law enforcement.

America's most "extremist" religious groups (Like the KKK) are actually quite anti-Bush and anti-war, because they view our involvement in the Middle East as supporting Israel and the make-believe Zionist movement.

Thats why David Duke attended that recent conference by Iran's President.

As opposed to what, your Crescent flag?

There is nothing wrong with having pride in what you are, or where you come from. You are critical of me and yet there are things that you stand up for, are there not?

What are you having trouble understanding? I assume you mean the part about David Duke. He was a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan. Religious extremists in the US are, for the most part, as anti-Jew as many Muslims are.
