Hellooo... it's not about Howard Dean.

True, Hillary does have a substantial following, and a well-organized campaign. At least if the money difference is not so wide... Obama's message, and face, can get out there. The people will decide.

I meant the press played up Howard Dean and he raised all kind of internet money but in the end he failed just as Obama will.
It probably helps Hillary being the underdog if you look at history You gotta admit this video ''Obama the magic Negro'' is funny the spoof on Al Sharpton

I don't remember the press playing up Dean that much... he had a few days in the sun, and then imploded.

Hillary is not the underdog.

And no, I don't think the video is funny.

Should be an interesting year and a half.

Good question I do not know but I do not think Obama can beat Hillary. If Fred Thompson ran he would be hard to beat but I do not think he will run.Gonna be interesting McCain can still get ahead it is early but then again if Iraq is bad all bets are off.

Obama to unveil housing plan for vets
By MIKE GLOVER -- Associated Press Writer
Last Updated 3:42 pm PDT Friday, April 6, 2007

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama on Friday said he would unveil a housing program for veterans aimed at keeping them off the streets when their service is completed.

The Illinois senator told The Associated Press he would introduce legislation Monday that he calls Homes for Heroes. The plan would establish grant and voucher programs to encourage development of affordable housing targeted for veterans.

"Veterans are far more likely to be homeless than non-veterans and part of it is because we're not providing services to them as they transition out of the service," Obama said in an interview before a campaign rally. "Part of it is because there is just not enough affordable housing."

The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates as many as 200,000 are living on the streets or in shelters and perhaps twice as many are homeless at some in the course of a year.

Obama, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, concluded a three-day trip to Iowa by touring the Iowa Veterans Home and focusing on veterans issues.

Obama comes out slugging!

Obama: Bush falls short as world leader
By DEANNA BELLANDI -- Associated Press Writer
Last Updated 5:28 pm PDT Monday, April 23, 2007

CHICAGO (AP) Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama said Monday that President Bush has fallen short in his role as leader of the free world, and the 2008 election is a chance to change that.

"This president may occupy the White House, but for the last six years the position of leader of the free world has remained open. And it is time to fill that role once more," Obama said in a speech to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Obama said the world is disappointed in the United States, but it would be a mistake to "cede our claim of leadership in world affairs" because Americans might be tempted to turn inward in the face of negative world opinion.

"America cannot meet the threats of this century alone, but the world cannot meet them without America. We must neither retreat from the world nor try to bully it into submission - we must lead the world by deed and by example," he said.

Barack Obama
4/23/07 6:46pm pst:
I have voted in many elections and I have actively helped in the campaigns of many people running for political office. I will not argue with anyone who does not share my wholehearted opinion, and that is that Sen. Barack Obama is an honest, dedicated, compassionate and extremely intelligent and articulate gentleman. I have followed his every meeting. I am one of his volunteers and I am hoping and praying that the voters of this country will actually listen to what he has to say and ignore any racism or bigotry or derision that may come from all sides, and see the man for what he truly is.
He does not want the Presidency because he is overly ambitious....he
does not want it to be the first black president....he does not want it for
the fame, power or riches. He wants this job because he has been
disallusioned, as most of us have been, for the last 8 years.
This man was told that $50,000 of his donations were from lobbies.
He ordered the money returned poste haste. He only wants the money
from committed American citizens--no lobbies involved. He wants
CLEAN money and money he will not have to repay with FAVORS.
I do suppose that some people will see his color and find him
unworthy--or some may see he is not of the political elite--. I realize
he's in for a tough road ahead, but I believe with all my heart that
Sen. Obama will be our next PRESIDENT of these U.S. I will do what-
ever I can to make that possible.
For your info, I am a retired, white, widow, of limited means. I simply
believe Sen Obama is exactly what he portrays himself to be.

Littlefield, is there a candidate out there for you that you agree with on 100% of the issues?

Barack has stated that he would favor a ban on all semi-automatic weapons. It's not an important issue for me. As it is, I really see no reason to be able to fire off 10-20 rounds in as many seconds. I hit what I aim at with the first shot anyway.

Oh, and where's your "there's no way Obama beats Hillary" spiel?? I'm disappointed.
