LOL!! ... dang good debunkering there!

Actually, it's easy with some of the local deniers ... kinda reminds me of a song by James T, something about loose lips ...

Right, where is all the rain?

Oh that's right: Texas floods worst in 50 years, officals say

But that's just another effect of global warming, right?

Of course it is .... as well as droughts, hurricanes, and the violence in Darfur.

Being approximately 85% of the global surface area, I'd say mostly in the ocean.
I've been looking for quite a while for a site that would give us some information on Hydrology news, but there doesn't seem to be anything of a weekly or monthly compilation or assessment of it. I'm sure there's a good scientific site out there. Somewhere.

We all better stop eating meat too! It turns out that it's more harmful to Earth than driving!

Eating beef 'less green than driving'

Absolutely hilarious, LANMaster!

But let's think of way to improve the environment. There's this new corn ethanol solution that everyone's been talking about. Let's take a look:

Report: Corn Ethanol Not A Viable Energy Option

If Every Field Were Planted With Corn, U.S. Would Only Offset 15% Of Fuel
Wow, from The Daily Green no less. I'm surprised!

So is this not true?
Between 1912 and 1989, the extent of ice cover on the highest massif in Africa decreased by 75%.
If its not true, why is it being published. But if it is true, then what is causing it?

Hi lizard,

85% is too high an approximation on the surface area of the oceans. Its more like somewhere around 65-70% last I heard.

Yup. 70 to 75% covered by oceans. Sorry for the inaccuracy.
Thanks.
