BTW, I read that 'globalwarmingheartland.org', where LAN gets many of his sources, is also funded by none other than big oil itself, Exxon Mobil....Which is prolly the reason why 'globalwarmingheartland.org' refuse to reveal their funding sources.

Go figure.

Exxon/Exxoff. simple.
What a crock of crap. Nothing less than I would expect from you, though.

And Schleppers assumes that I get paid for my opinions.

LAN's post above this just proves that the U.S. government actively seeks out contrary opinions on the issue.
Balderdash. The visit was an honor that has nothing to do with my politics, but a business venture in my local area.

I am not surprised that you would stoop so low to consider otherwise, and call it "proof" of something else.

Your posts have seriously dropped in credibility. Certainly with me, anyway.

I've posted a link to excerpts from Exxon-Mobil's own financial statements which clearly shows them funding The Heartland Institute about $115,000.00 in 2006.
Your crock runneth over.

Originally I thought they were for collecting dew so Americans could have fresh drinking water.
But with U.S. increases in mountaintop mining, which totally destroys your watersheds, and neighboring states greedily eyeing the Great Lakes for their fresh water needs, I'm beginning to believe that whole groups of foil madhatters may be in dire need of a critical update!

Balderdash you say?
Your post above that had nothing to do with your visit.
Concerning the photo, the only proof I offered is that of a probable impending presidential-type wedgie!
Nothing but more piffle, twaddle, and codswallop!

Politics stink, eh?
I would prefer we stick to the science and try to keep the fog from coming in.

I don't see why the dissenters didn't resign en mass. That would have have made a considerable statement.

I would think that what in legal terms is called a "preponderance of evidence " would be logical to believe . The scientific majority from around the world . This even includes NASA , and their studies .
Oil corporations , and the politic they fund { $$$} , should be extremely suspect.
Profit + Status Quo = politic , not science .
Who would lose from acceptance of facts , or gain from denial ? and who do they fund ?.
I always watch money trail in these things.
I believe this subject has pretty much ran its course , and Global warming is now accepted by all but a tiny minority .
I might add , I wish they were right . >f

Moonbat Journalist Dave Lindorff Fantasizes That Global Warming Will Kill Off Conservatives

The global warming farce veers ever further into the realm of liberal fantasy. Now, according to journalist Dave Lindorff, it will rid America of conservatives.

Quote:
The area that will by completely inundated by the rising ocean — and not in a century but in the lifetime of my two cats — are the American southeast, including the most populated area of Texas, almost all of Florida, most of Louisiana, and half of Alabama and Mississippi, as well as goodly portions of eastern Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. While the northeast will also see some coastal flooding, its geography is such that that aside from a few projecting sandbars like Long Island and Cape Cod, the land rises fairly quickly to well above sea level. Sure, Boston, New York and Philadelphia will be threatened, but these are geographically confined areas that could lend themselves to protection by Dutch-style dikes. The West Coast too tends to rise rapidly to well above sea level in most places. Only down in Southern California towards the San Diego area is the ground closer to sea level.
San Diego leaned Republican in 2004. So did Phoenix, a city with essentially no unemployment that has been growing explosively for years. Lindorff dismisses it, along with Palm Springs and even the liberal college town Tucson, as "right-wing retirement communities," and gloats that they will shrivel up and die from projected minuscule temperature increases that wouldn't be noticed in the Southwest even if they were actually to happen.

Agricultural states west of the Mississippi will supposedly be doomed by drought, while more liberal Midwestern states will be spared.

Lindorff wrings his clawlike hands as he cackles:

Quote:
There is a poetic justice to this of course. It is conservatives who are giving us the candidates who steadfastly refuse to have the nation take steps that could slow the pace of climate change, so it is appropriate that they should bear the brunt of its impact.
Those who survive Gaia's wrath by escaping to blue states are to be regarded as subhumans with limited voting rights:

Quote:
The important thing is that we, on the higher ground both actually and figuratively, need to remember that, when they begin their historic migration from their doomed regions, we not give them the keys to the city. They certainly should be offered assistance in their time of need, but we need to keep a firm grip on our political systems, making sure that these guilty throngs who allowed the world to go to hell are gerrymandered into political impotence in their new homes.
Global warming has now degenerated into a sick masturbatory fantasy for ultra-leftists in clear need of psychiatric attention. But even as record snowfall buries Denver, the UN presses forward with plans to exploit the hoax to seize power and wealth.

Dave Lindorff: A sick moonbat finds solace in morbid global warming fantasies.

How the Oceans Once Ended Global Warming
Article here.

Last time Earth suffered a carbon-induced fever, it was the oceans that helped saved the day, say marine scientists in California.

Although there weren't as many humans contributing back then!

Maybe that's because you, Fidel, understand that Lindorff had his tongue firmly planted in cheek (unlike LANMeister, and the Moonbattery blogger whose verbage it looks like LAN inadvertently plagiarised by not posting the appropriate article link).

See the comments Dave Lindorff had to others who, just like LAN , had a knee-jerk reaction to his piece, excerpt:

Ya'll on the Right don't get satire do you?

Quote:
Folks, I gotta say I'm disappointed, but maybe not surprised. An awful lot of you conservatives just can't spot over-the-top writing ...

... you idiots who don't get a joke, lighten up, (and if you live near the shore, get a life-preserver, because you're going to need it).

LAN believes that Global Warming is a political struggle between American liberals and conservatives.

LAN believes that some cities in the U.S. should be spared the effects of Global Warming because they vote conservative.

LAN believes that snow in Denver is proof that Global Warming doesn't exist.

LAN calls Global Warming a farce although he has already stated that he believes it is real.

LAN's bold new scientific re-assessment of the subject...

At the Bali Conference on Climate Change, the Canadian Minister of Environment was seen with a mysterious shadow covering his face.

Close.
What I believe is that global warming hype is being used by the left politically to effect a Socialist, anti-Capitalist cause.
And it is being ridden like a tired horse.
I also believe that global warming is natural and cyclical.
The FACT of the matter is, we're due to start cooling into the next ice age .... naturally.

LAN believes that global average temperature drop is a fair reason to doubt the hyped up garbage from the lunatic leftist idiots who are clinging to global warming as a cause to put forth a totally political agenda.

The farce is the man-made part.
I know I have made myself very clear on this, yet you deliberately mis-state my positions.
You are a liar. Much like the kind of liar that, your hero, Al Gore is.

To be honest, I'm more concerned about the coming ice age than I am the current warming trend in the ever moving climate change.
