That's true, although the Vietnam war altered the perception of government that the average person had--changing it from one of trust to much more one of mistrust. Watergate of course came on the heals of the Vietnam war so their was a lot of public support for neuturing the power of the President.

Is she good looking? If so, go ahead and make me an appointment!

And as to drugs--yes--I'll take some Xanax and Ambien!

I'm not sure anyone under the age of 40 would have a clue what you're talking about You're aging us linsky - I haven't seen a blue light special since I was 10 years old

No, what is despicable is a man who is president and didn't finish his military obligation...

I was, fortunately during peace time ... I agree with his opinion. Can't imagine any service member disagreeing with it.

I must have missed this.

Huh? Republicans are the majority here? Since when? I feel majorly outnumbered.

You know what I find despicable. I find it despicable that our troops aren't given what they're needed. They don't have proper armor. They can't build an armored vehicle that can withstand homemade bombs. They are not given what they need to win this war!

That our government won't, and I can't, send "Silly String" to Baghdad, Falujah, and the like to help save our young men's and women's lives, is ridiculous.

Silly String? Yes, Silly String. A simple can of silly string can save lives but we can't send it to them. Why? Because it's an aerosol. A simple can of silly string, at a cost of $2/can can be sprayed into a "potential" insurgent's home and detect booby traps without tripping the bombs.

Our goverment won't give it to them (b/c they won't pay for it) and civilians can't send it. What kind of nonsense is that?!!!

The red tape in place is a nightmare. I blame Congress and the Senate and our President and every single democrat out there who believes they know best. Our young troops are dying b/c of red tape.

The democrats are the controlling party now and they are the blame for every death from the day they took control as far I'm concerned. They are the blame b/c they are the ones who have blocked every attempt to win this war.

Of course, this is JMHO, but that's how I feel.
