Question "Famous homosexuals and bisexuals in history"
Is it really necessary to visit the bedrooms of historical celebs in order to prevent or fight homophobia ?

Just have a look to what ridiculous consequences such move may induce :

Quote:
Backtracking on Atatürk slur, Belgium calls it 'copy and paste accident'

Marie Arena, the education minister for Belgium's French-speaking community in the Walloon region, made a request yesterday for a meeting with Turkey's ambassador to Belgium in an apparent effort to explain the publishing of a book in which the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is listed among the important homosexual and bisexual personalities of history.

Excerpt :

Quote:
Belgium is one of the few countries in the world that grants its citizens the right to same-sex marriages and child adoption by homosexual couples. It was stated that the distribution of the book on homophobia was aimed at “enlightening the future of the young generation in Belgium” and informing them correctly by giving information on the history of homosexuality and the general socio-cultural perception in regard to homosexuality. The book also touches on the equality of women and discusses the viewpoints of other societies regarding homosexuality with an aim of preventing the younger generation from harboring negative opinions on homosexuality.
I wonder if the publication of such book is really indispensable. IMO, the teaching of the respect of people and their differences is sufficient.
There's no need to create a kind of museum of homosexuality.

Never mind the homosexuals and bisexuals. Over the years here at TSGs I've oft times wondered how many peeps here are in actual fact shemales . Reading between the lines of many a post by certain individuals, there appears to be a kind of crossover

Hi chicon,

thats very interesting loop: for(;;;
In ancient greece, egypt and persia-- gays were accepted part of the society but it is present society that does not understand gays. Lets take a hypothetical situation: Lets add 100 men in an isolated island, I feel that men will start screwing each other. There wouldnt be anyone who will not be gays...i feel.

As for the topic... Homosexuality and talks against it will continue until there will be day when every one has accepted it as norm

If I was Atatürk I'd demand all the books be recalled as he is not a homosexual! Talk about defamation of character! The author should have checked facts instead of getting the name off of a website!

I really doubt the day will ever come where everyone accepts homosexuality as the norm...especially to those who are religious and see homosexuality as a sin...

Many great leaders were homosexual in personality and otherwise. they enjoyed forbidden stuff inside their cottage but on the outside they were "nice gentlemen"
