There's quite a bit to consider in these happenings.

First, against your better judgment...you joined your friend in physically violating the vehicle and corpse. You did this before the knowledge of the money and with the knowledge of the local law (corrupt or not).

The person's body that lies dead in the car deserves better than to be pushed aside with a towel over his head. I fully understand that 'he' is gone, leaving behind only a broken physical shell...even still, his life would be celebrated and missed by others -- and they should have the opportunity.

As for the money....well, neither of you did anything to earn it...and you found it in a questionable way -- in fact, you've already stated that you broke the law in the discovery of the money. Spiritually, you have an enemy...and that enemy knows that greed is a powerful weapon. Greed speaks into our lives addressing our wants and desires.

Whats done is done -- however, I would suggest an attempt to set things right for all involved. First, do one of two things with the money; either return it to where you found it and walk away, or turn it into the authorities and report the discovery of the body. In either case, someone should be notified about the body. Also, do not miss what God might have for you in this....if you have the eyes to see it, you may be able to identify weakness of self that could then be strengthened....but beyond that, you would be able to speak into the lives of those around you...people who struggle with the same issue.

I understand that there may be consequences in all this, and that is part of being responsible for what you do....the good, and the bad. Were I in your position...at the very least, I would walk away from the money completely, taking no portion of it.

Thanks.. I accept this idea..The only problem is that my friends wants to keep them and I am sure if they used to buy materials then question will be asked how they became so rich and other issues then police(corrupt) and others will come to investigate the neighbourhood causing lot of raucus and speculations. I might get into trouble ...I am thinking about burning the corspe and and money secretly..

You may very well be in trouble at this point no matter what happens. IMO, this action would only make matters worse...for you would be trying to cover-up in secret. Ask yourself, what would you want done about the man in the car if he was your father? Things we do can be carried with us for some time -- why carry more than you have to?

I'd have been a bit more careful with my fingerprints and all that jazz. My personally, my conscience is a bit skewed so I think I woulda kept the money, sat on it for quite a long time, and then invest it in a range of interest bearing accounts thru different banks and/or brokers.

The problem is that -- 3 firends were not that clever enough to think about situation. If you had read my posts..you see, I told them not touch the bag or the corpse..but they were curious and things were done hastly and it got out of hand.

I was thinking about your idea also but my conscience is playing games.

Hi

In turkey, nobody keeps huge amount of money in brown bag. it is always black money. Most people carry credit cards and cheque books or few amount of turkish liras. I feel now it is best to keep the money in a hidden place and wait for crooked people to show up.

He was curious what was inside it...He decided to open and I told him it is illegal to open someone stuff in our village. Omar said buzz of and He opened and we found 750000 and turkish lira and some gold in there.

Now what should be do with this money??? Should we keep it or should just keep it inside the car? should we hand this to police?/ SHould we split the money between us??

I feel car owner met with a accident and died there..long time ago.Over years snow and other debris covered him up. So nobody found him...or cared about him..??What should I do??
Hi PhoenixNEW,

You have values, and know the difference between right and wrong. Follow your conscience and "do the right thing". The money/valuables could be stolen in which case someone is missing them. The money/valuables could be someone's inheritance - but, not yours or your friends. If DNA testing is unable to discover the identity of the person who died and/or the car license/registration cannot be identified, then there may be a statute of limitations, in which case the money/valuables may (according to law on books?) be able to be claimed by the finders - i.e. you and your friends. Do some research on this quickly or ask an honest lawyer (in confidence - but, don't tell him the actual story, tell him a hypothetical story different from reality, but asking about finders/keepers for say $100 found on the street). Ask the honest lawyer, what is the right thing to do?

What you do not need is to have a guilty conscience for not having done the right thing - for the rest of your lives.

Lose the social conscience emotion of guilt. Life is much better.

I did read your post and saw they had touched it. Should the police come calling, give it up. Otherwise, sit on it for a bit and the divvy it up.
