Are Neo-Cons Christians?
This is an interesting question. If you read the Gospels, Christ, more often then not, calls for people to turn the other cheek, take care of the poor, etc. Considering the clear message of the Christ, can right wing neo-cons be considered practicing Christians?

Practicing/living the actual lessons put forth as the teachings of Jesus Christ is far to radical for anyone IMO. We are far too self-serving --greedy--independent if thats the right word.
I would say , however, that the attitude and actions of the right wing neo-cons are further from the teachings than many other political idealogies, by a long way.
I think that is obvious. >f

This is a really strange question!

Now why would a leading group of Zionists convert from Judaeism to Christianity?

Sure, some NeoConservatives are fundamentalist baptist belt, self-serving wannabees; however the core Think Tanks behind the NeCon movement are Jewish institutions and heavily connected to Israel.

The question brings to mind a quote from Ghandi... " I like your Christ; I do not like your Christians, they are so unlike your Christ".

Littlefield.."I do not know but if I had as much money as Paul Wolfiwitz I would have a better looking girlfriend!"..
linsky.."Correct.She is one ugly lady..but Wolfiwitz aint Errol Flynn."...

I'm sure no-one has to point out how shallow that is..but I will.

Paquadez..I'm now waiting for everyone to jump all over you for that remark. But save the bloodbath for later as I have to go out.

Hi James

Essentially, that's Garret Hardin's theory rationalizing the taking of the worlds resources from undeveloped/less developed and weaker nations, by force.
Earth is the life boat and anyone in a neocon's way goes over the rails for the betterment of their own kind

Hardin was one of the early neocon 'philosophers'.

This pretty much explains the concept:
LifeBoatEthics
Take a real issue and apply it for the purpose of political and economic domination......globally.

I can't wait, anwthan.

How people can jump all over me for (i) Stating fact and (ii) Stating therefore how the question lacks cogent logic due to the provable fact, I wait to see!

However on reflection I guess this is the noveau face of CivDeb which ought to have a health warning as an entry caveat, "Abandon logical analysis and knowledge all ye who enter here!"
