Arrow Mike Huckabee Thread
He's coming up in the polls so he might as well have a thread.

Starting with this:

December 18, 2007
–CNN’s Rebecca Sinderbrand and Steve Brusk

Huckabee denies subliminal Christmas message
Subliminal? IMO, it was right to the point. The music, the cross image in the background and his voice made me want to shout Amen!

(CNN) — Republican Mike Huckabee poked fun at critics who said a bookshelf in his new Christmas-themed ad that appeared to highlight the shape of a cross was meant to send a subliminal message.

“Actually I will confess this, if you play this spot backwards it says ‘Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead, Paul is Dead,’” the presidential candidate joked to reporters in Houston Tuesday. “So the next thing you know, someone will be playing it backwards to find out the subliminal messages that are really there.” (Watch Huckabee's comments)
The ad is intended for the early-voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

The former Arkansas governor said the spot was last-minute and ad-libbed: “They had a bookshelf behind me, a bookshelf. So now I have these people saying, ‘ahhh there was a subtle message there,’” said Huckabee. “….I never cease to be amazed at the manner in which people will try to dissect the simplest messages, can't even say ‘Merry Christmas’ anymore without somebody getting all upset about it.”

I thought it was a bookshelf. Doesn't even look like a cross. Looks like a big "plus" sign. Kudos to him for doing this.

It depends...to me it looks like a cross and he sounds just like a Minister and the music fit the picture. So like I said, I depends on how the viewer sees it.

Face it, it's between Obama and Clinton. No one else matters.

True. I didn't notice it until I read the comments. But I don't look for a every religious slant to everything. If I like the message, I like it - and I like his message. I'm not voting for him though. He was in my top 3 a year ago, but so was McCain. (Guiliani was also in there - still is).

Finally an honest republican. At least he is willing to place his greed at a department store bridal registry.

Huckabee is Gomer Pyle ,Jim Nabors and low and behold one of the pundits said the same thing I have been saying about him. Today one said his Christmas ad looked like he was Jim Nabors and was gonna say Golly .
He is a flash in the pan and after Iowa will not be saying Shazam .

I cannot image him winning SC where I live ,not Gomer Pyle.

Surprise Surprise Surprise Is what I think of when I hear him open his stupid mouth

Ah a new thread to be another dumping ground for cut and pastes.

Littlefield I was thinking the same thing that he reminded me of Gomer Pyle.

Last night they were talking about one of his latest ads. Watch it with the sound turned off. His mannerisms come out of broadcasting 101.

He would be great if you want to have continuing problems with illegal immigration.

Nice enough fellow but a lousy choice.

Thanks wino

I sent him $5,000 to help him crush the secular uprising and bring stability to our country through Christian dominance {{giddy up}}
