All the Evidence You Need to Impeach Bush and Cheney
The past year has seen the public exposure of enough evidence of old, ongoing, and new crimes, abuses of power, and impeachable offenses by George Bush and Dick Cheney that in any remotely representative democracy, these two thugs would be out of office and behind bars. Here's the evidence and why we should continue to push for impeachment.

Ron Paul has a better chance of being President then Bush or Cheney ever being impeached !

I've not the time right now -- though, I have to ask how much of this is really evidence vs circumstance or perception.

Perhaps next week I'll research it a bit.

You're correct, probably. But it does give one pause to kickback and daydream a bit about how nice it would be while we countdown to the end of their term. Only 381 to go.until Tird Blossoms boss rides off into the sunset never to be heard from or seen again.

That scenario belongs over in the Violent Revolution thread. I think after 8 years of dumbass, one more or many would bring that revolution. Bush needs to go quietly into the night to join the other insignificant presidents of the past.

I wouldn't call anything from the Democratic Underground, "evidence".

Hi LAN,

You want evidence, you want evidence - you can't handle the evidence!

I don't want these two guys impeached. That would allow them to paint themselves as victims and thus shift focus from their horrific tenure in office.

Don't waste your time--its nonsense. Consider the first paragraph:

Quote:
The result in 2007 was a lot of smoke, but no fire. In fact, the new Congress passed new legislation further stripping us of our Constitutional rights, and every now and then let slip a hint at the depth of bipartisan complicity. The year began with Senator Dick Durbin explaining that he had known before the Iraq invasion that the White House was lying to the public, but that he had not dared to say so for fear of disclosing classified information. The year closed with the revelation that Nancy Pelosi was one of a group of leading Congress Members informed of U.S. torture policies five years ago. She, too, dared not say anything, and still has said nothing. Maybe 2008 will be the year in which she finds her voice.
If that's true, the both Durbin and Pelosi should also be impeached--as members of Congress, that would be a direct violation of the oath they took and conduct punishable at the very least by impeachment.

The guy writing this article (like the guy posting it) has some serious emotional problems which make rational thought all but impossible. If he or the poster stopped to consider (logically) the first paragraph, they'd understand it contradicts itself before it even begins. I'd need about 5 minutes to discredit him on a witness stand (less to discredit the thread starter).

The first paragraph is indeed damning , and I think it goes beyond that.
I think those who supported Bush policy, not only Republicans , but Democrats as well, are equally responsible .
Sometimes we like to forget that early on,half the country supported the Bush/Cheney agenda.
Its esp painful when some of our"hero's of the left " played ball , and then claimed ignorance-- I don't buy it , never will.
It is a nice fantasy to think about a Bush impeachment - I like to fantasize about quail hunting with Cheney , only with buckshot !. Its only good for a smile .
LJ is right , history will sort it all out . Now is the time to look forward , not backward, and attempt to fix what the majority see as broken .
A good start for Democrats would be taking a close look at our hero's , and dumping those who played a part , supported, or support the mess we complain about .
We on the left need to stop making excuse for dems who are 'implicated ' -if thats the right word. 2008 is a good year to do it . >f

Thats because Clinton wasn't insignificant (but wingers like you don't want to admit that). Its because he was an excellent president, is highly intelligent, and yes, he can actually speak the English language! Obviously your boy Bush isn't any of the above!

Do you ever think before spewing? Everything you type is almost like your brain just took a dump on the computer screen. I don't think you have any right to criticize Bush, because obviously your mental faculties aren't even on his level. Go back to your cave and evolve some more before you make even more of a spectacle of yourself.
