The Idiot and Chief's Economic Stimulus Package
Today I read that the Idiot and Chief, will be recommending an economic stimulus package. I say, why do we need an economic stimulus package? Doesn't the right wing think that everything is going along swimmingly with the economy? Weren't the tax cuts the panacea for all the ills of a mature economy? Don't you wingers take the laissez-faire view of economics? Is this a neo-con thing?

PS. Farmgirl, stay out of this one. It is definitely WAY over your head.

I just read that on CNN Money.

A couple excerpts:

While he has steadfastly maintained that the economy is fundamentally strong, the fact that the president is considering a so-called fiscal stimulus package is an indication that the Administration is getting worried.

Tax cuts on the table
It's not clear what measures the White House is considering, but it is widely believed that tax cuts are among them. In that realm, there are a number of options the president could propose, but all of them carry political costs, economic costs or both.

Poochee, I'm waiting for one of our neighborhood wingers to comment on even the possibility that things might not be as good as they have claimed!

I'm sure everyone else here sees the irony of Linskyjack and Poochee commenting on Economics. The movie "Dumb and Dumber" comes to mind!

Great response Mulderator---Your are falling back into your syndrome. You can't generate a response to the thread so you go into the personal stuff. Mulder, go back into retirement. You have become so tiresome so quickly! Now respond to the thread or shut up.

Just a thought. . .
The economy is cyclical - I don't care who's sittin' on the throne. The suggestions were a panacea for everyone likely to panic during a downswing (chickens) IMHO

now that is rich coming from the resident king of personal attacks.

you never disappoint.

oh and by the way any stimulus package coming from Bush is bound to be garbage. The guy is as clueless as his old man and the king of clueless Peanut Boy.

Bush actually think the economy is not that bad. I been saying for a long time it is bad and just visit MI and see what is going on there. Of course half the problem here is an idiot Canadian liberal as governor leading the way who ranks up with the rest of the clueless examples.

Wacor, my little fringe dweller. I never attack unless I am attacked first. You make the mistake of trying to do your little bullying routine on the big boys and when you get whacked, you go crying off to mama.

Now that I have dispensed with the gnat, who seldom has anything of substance to add to the debate, I will address Laura's reasonable response to my post. if you listened to the Bu****es over the last eight years, they praise HIS economic miracle, created by HIS economic policy. I was merely pointing out that if indeed the Bu****es had such a major effect on the economy, then why now are they calling for some kind of stimuliation package. Two months ago I heard Kramer the Financial Winger calling the Bush eight years an economic miracle!

It never was there to begin with.

you liberals bought into Clintons version of a panacea.

WE drive the economy. The govt can't make it better. They can only make it worse.

Eventually if you stay with ownership of that bar you will understand this.

How's your business doing? Last time I saw you mention it you claimed it was going great guns. Easy to do when you're screwing over the employees by not paying for any benefits.
