What, exactly, is a first lady's job?

I think Bill Clinton would be a good first lady if you're judging by Betty Ford - he could probably give her a run for her money as far as being able to start clinics for various social diseases.

1. There's no official job description.
2. There are a lot more things she can't do than things she can.
3. There's no salary
4. Its one of the most bizzare jobs in u.s. history
5. You get to travel a lot, smile a lot, host lots of dinners, decorate the Christmas tree, etc.
6. Be active, but most of all, do not be controversial.
7. According to the National Museum of American History: She represents the "kinder, gentler" side of the presidency.
8. Lots of misc. duties

I think it might be past your bedtime, young lady. Your mind doesn't seem as sharp as it could be.
