Are newspapers a thing of the past?
In the S.F. Bay Area, a number of local newspapers are struggling to the point of possibly laying off over 1,000 employees. You can read one article here.

With the popularity of getting "news" on the Internet, do you think printed newspapers are now obsolete? When I refer to "printed newspapers", I'm referring to the physical paper as well as the quality of the content (journalism, research, editorials, etc).

Your thoughts?

Peace...

You may be able to get "news" on the WWW. However, some of the more popular UK papers contain stuff other than news that's hard to find on-line -- such as images of topless ladies.

The one about your carer and incontinence would have been good, had I not seen it coming.

Did you dump your avatar because they finally found a cure for your 5-second attention span?

(oh look, there's the earth ... oh look, there's the earth ... oh look ...)
