Are we safer with Republicans in charge?
Number of Americans killed in the United States by terrorists since GWB was inaugurated January 20, 2001.

Number of deaths attributed to September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center,

2,713 + 13 subsequent deaths related to 9/11/2001

http://www.cdc.gov/MMWR/preview/mmwrhtml/mm51SPa6.htm

How did this happen since we had;

President of the U.S.: REPUBLICAN
Governor of NY: REPUBLICAN
Mayor of NYC: REPUBLICAN
Majority of both houses of U.S. Congress: REPUBLICAN

Are we really safer with Republicans in charge?

Personally, i don't think we are really that safe with either party, if things keep going as they are now. I really wish the people would be brave enough to vote third party (or at least research it) so that politics would have to be more on their toes.
Man, i'm bad at explaining myself.. Sorry.

You did OK explaining yourself. I too wish that a VIABLE 3rd party could get off the ground, but unfortunately with the hold the Democrats and Republicans have today on this Country it would be almost impossible to launch a VIABLE 3rd party candidate.

Although I don't agree with everything he says, Jesse Ventura made some very good points regarding a 3rd party in these short interviews with Larry King.

I don't think those numbers show any proof of us being less safe. I doubt the terrorists would have changed their mind had a democrat been elected president.

I'm with everyone else wishing there could be a third party candidate, republicans and democrats are just too similar. It's time to have a president who is socially liberal, but economically conservative.

And it definitely hasn't been under the current administration..I've been around a while and in my lifetime there's never been another administration preaching so much fear as this one, so IMO, even a stuffed animal would be an improvement now...

You could not be more wrong! Bush is exactly a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. He pushed for Kennedy's No child education nightmare, he pushed for the medicare drug boondoggle, which are socially liberal stances. Yet he cut taxes across the board which is fiscally conservative. Just because you have BDS, doesn't make your opinion fact!
