Obama/Clinton VS MCcain/Rice?
Extra! Extra! Read all about it! There is now pressure on the Republicans to create their own "Dream Ticket" to combat the Democrats "Dream Ticket". With all of these tickets "dreaming", when is anyone gonna "Wake UP"? Dammmmmmmm!

Here is the link!

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

Now I hate to say that I told yall so but!

I TOLD U SO I TOLD U SO I TOLD U SO!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, a few months ago, I posted this question to this forum. Most people weren't buying it.

Here is that link!!!!!!!!!

http://forums.techguy.org/civilized-...cain-rice.html

There are still so many unknowns but after what has happened so far, is this possible?

Why or why not?

And would anybody know how to or be willing to start a poll on this forum pitting these two tickets against each other?

Not a chance - at least not a chance of Obama/Hillary. For starters I don't think Hill-dog would accept the VP role. I'd imagine that in her opinion it's beneath her.

Secondly, Hillary supporters and Obama supporters are really starting to get bitter about their rival. I forget the stats (I think it was something around 20%) but a good proportion of each candidate's supporters said that they would not vote for their rival if they were to win the nomination, and would instead defect to McCain.

I'm not sure how realistic that is, or if these folks were just talking a big game since the competition is so heated now, but if the internet is any barometer for feelings towards the candidates, Obama supporters seem to loathe her more than Republicans do!

Okay, maybe that last part is a bit of an exaggeration, but still...

It seems all the newscasters want to make this a popularity contest.
I think Rice would make a good VP but thats based on her experience, inteligence and education, and not on her race or gender.

I have to say that I agree with u to a point, but although polls show Dems very divided right now, and making "emotional" filled votes on hypothetical polls, I have to believe that this will change once a nominee is selected. Democrats will unite regardless of the candidate. They have to. Hopefully the wounds resulting from the political MMA event will heal quickly and it will be the candidates themselves that will have to make that possible. That is my bet.

Isn't Romney Morman? While I have nothing again this Christian Church, I think that with the Texas situation boiling, this would or should be a political obstacle for republicans. I mean if Obama can be dragged for statements that his former minister made, then I feel that the Morman issue is fair game. Not that it's right, but all's fair at this point.

While I respect your opinion, I would like to go on record now as saying that I believe otherwise.

Well that's what it has boiled down to! I mean policywise Obama and Clinton have more similarities than non. So if u got two candidates standing on the same platform, you would probably chose the more likable or popular of the 2. Hillary in my opinion is the farthest from winning the popularity contest.
