Arrow Can Two Term Presidents Age Gracefully!
Before and After: Can Presidents Age Gracefully?

Being president of the United States for eight years in a row is a tough job, and the physical before and after effects are sometimes obvious.

See slideshow showing seven presidents at: http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/popup?id=4205015

I think the changes are a result of natural aging. You should see pics of me from 8 years ago! Big different from then to now.

I kinda expected the pictures to show them pretty haggard looking afterwards but I couldnt see much different in a couple of the pics. So my answer is yes, they can age gracefully. They are men after all and men always age better than women.

Not if they take care of themselves.

By aging gracefully, I take it you mean slowly without showing very much change.

Here's an article How fast you'll age is written in the bones, that discovered the difference in how men and women age respectively: The results of the study indicated that men and women inherit different aging patterns. In men, the genes expressed are more likely to influence how quickly they will age. For women, the genes are more likely to represent at what age visible changes in the bone will begin to appear.

So, exercise, eat healthy and have lots of sex - that should do it for both men and women, eh? Uh, all in the quest to keep the bones from getting too brittle I mean!

GW will be fine, and age as well as his mother. I mean, I'll miss him as much as the next man with a regard for the finer points of wit and wisdom, but he sleeps 18 hours a day and probably hasn't actually made a decision off his own bat beyond when to go and take a leak in the last eight years.

If you want to see the effects of office look at the change in Tony Blair from youthful deluded monomaniac in 1997 to aged and haggard deluded monomaniac when he left office. However he does seem to have regained some of his youthful vigour since raking in the millions churning out his delusions to the rich and stupid on the after dinner circuit
