Who is Your Favorite Sportscaster?
Okay, this was tough narrowing this down because I only have 10 choices (including "Other"). I've included only those that are currently still broadcasting because of course there are those that are no longer broadcasting that would be in here.

Not Packer that is for sure. He is an arrogant pompous past his prime dolt. IMO

Scully is right there with him. IMO

I would have to go with other. None of those guys impress me.

John Madden. Purely a nostalgia vote. Grew up w/ the guy. To me he is "The voice of football". When he retires it'll be like the end of an era...Something I've felt w/ only a handful of players and announcers.

Troy Aikman is a second, because I'm a Cowboys fan.

Gary Thorne (sp?) has the greatest pay-by-play voice I have ever heard. He used to do hockey when ESPN had it but now does baseball both nationally and for the Orioles. Hockey lost its greatest broadcaster when ESPN quit televising them. Hockey's other great, Bill Clement only does higlights now and then, he is another great voice and analyst.

If I can include those that have passed on I would have to say Danny Gallivan, voice of the Montreal Canadiens for 32 years and more than 1,800 games.

For hockey I like Harry Neale.

Bruce Martyn was great also doing the Wings games but probably is only known locally.

Grew up with Ernie Harwell doing the Tiger baseball games.

Van Patrick was a classic for Lions football. Not sure if he did any national stuff. He had a great voice but boy could he screw up the call of a long touchdown run
