Puleeeze.

The Palestinian looneys have been attacking civilians for decades before Bush was even on the scene.

Bush is the only US President who suggested a 2-state solution and was the driving force behind the "roadmap".
Bush has done more to give in to the Palestinians demands than any world leader, anywhere, at any time.
Now you condemn him for the actions they took to elect Hamas instead of a non-terrorist entity.

The thread is about that idiot, Jimmy Carter, and has nothing whatsoever to do with President Bush.

Get a life already.

No, it is time for us to change this bitterness.

Where are the Republicans? Have they just turned over and allowed this right wing total control of their party name?
I'm sorry you see hatred in the title of the thread.
As you can see plainly from the responses we read from those representing the defense of Jimmy Carter's action, the thr3ead title is 100% accurate.

Who cares if Carter acts treasonously against US interests?
Who cares that he plainly lied about the warning?

Certainly not the Dems.

I'm perfectly willing to change the bitterness once you and your pals on the left do 2 small things;

1. Stop accepting wrongdoing by your political party, just because you share the aisle.

2. Stop lying

I'm not particularly fond of your 3:am truck comment.
And if something like that ever does happen in this country, it will be because of the left, not the right.

Get a brain . I never said they haven't been attacking Israel but on the flipside, how many Palestinians has Israel jailed and killed?

So you are agreeing with me that he did push the 2 state solution, but not that he denounced them after they chose a political party not to the US' liking?

When the current President and his admin do get involved with a previous President, it does have a relation....

Apparently not nearly enough to stop them from aiming and firing rockets at schoolyards full of kids.

No, I am pointing out the fact that Jimmah Carter acted against the interest of the US State Department abd his passport should be revoked.

Corrected the typo fer ya

Good luck at Walmart.

So, if a prominent American decides to do something on his own to promote peace against the wishes of the pro war government, the government should forbid him from traveling again? Are you insane? What ever happened to freedom and it being a god-given right, not a government granted privilege?

Well the guy is representing the US. Former president or no, we still pay him a pension for being a president.

No former president, be it Bush, Clinton, or Carter, should be holding unilateral talks with governments that the entire world consider to be terrorist organizations.

Hamas themselves are already using this to claim legitimacy. Just imagine how many republican heads on a spike would be demanded if Bush decided to go on unilateral foreign policy trips once he's out of office.

Are you telling me you'd be OK with Bush doing the same as Carter once he's out of office, or do you think that former president's should continue the tradition of at least somewhat respecting the current administration, regardless of personal ideologies?

I didn't even know that any democrats were defending this little trip - everything I've heard has been pretty much disapproving from all sides, although I haven't read too much on state-side reactions.

It is common sense you don't go and try to negotiate as an ex president unless you are carrying the torch for the current administration at the time. pretty simple stuff. It sends a mixed message whether one agrees with the administrations POV at the time or not.

Thank you for going back to get that, but please tell me which US President mentioned a 2-state ME solution either by quote or by bill.

Almost everything I found involving Bush I or Clinton requires a fee to read!
