JohnMR actually did bring up new and interesting topics, especially along evolutionary lines.
However, I think his interest was less for the science and more as a crutch to his support of atheism.
He certainly appeared to take the losing side of many issues.
But he did bring issues to debate.

I think he was also upset by my grammar and sod busting background

Life can be cruel.............

I'm 100% useless with judging distances/areas. One acre would be about 2 football pitches?

As a straight up poll, no.
With Mulder at the helm, he certainly has the abilities to steer it in that direction........but this has been one of his polls showing the least of his political bias.
Did Mulder intend to use the info to further his position?
Of course, but the risk was there that the forum might have posted otherwise and it would have been the worse for his position.
He did take the risk and his poll does show that threads that constantly display body counts are viewed as attempts to sway political opinions.

Most threads in this forum are politically motivated.
Several threads even start out as scientific discussions and a member steps in with political cartoons to divert the topic to politics. The global warming threads are a prime example of that.

Hey, I wonder if a poll that directly represents whether the forum thinks this thread is politically motivated would serve a useful purpose?

Post a poll and find out

Wouldn't that be another non sequitur?
