When I first saw the news on TV I was absolutely speechless.
I simply cannot comprehend how someone could do such a thing to another human being, not to mention to his own daughter. How on Earth could he sleep soundly at night…

Why do we even need monster films with mummies, vampires and zombies -- the human monster is so much scarier.

I can't say that I'm surprised, but I also can't say that I didn't have hopes that I would be surprised. Nearly makes me want to cry...

He deserves more than 15 years though--I think he deserves every bit of the 24(?) years of time that he had her locked up. Disgusting pig!

I feel so bad for the kids--for the woman too, but those kids don't really have much of a chance from the sounds of things.

I’ve been following this in the German TV and it is said that Josef F. shows absolute no sign of regret. And not just that, the psychiatrist says that he actually believes that he was doing the right thing, that he was protecting his daughter…

Those children, they will never be healthy. Imagine how very weak their immune system is. Most likely they’ll be on medication all their life… and the simplest illness, a cold, or and allergy could mean their death…

Protecting her from what? Men who might treat her like he did??? Because it's somehow better to treat her like that, as opposed to.....???

If he shows no remorse, then he DEFINITELY deserves a longer sentence. Or maybe even the death penalty--I think this crime is heinous enough to warrant that (I'm sure someone will disagree)....he ruined NOT ONLY his daughters life, but the lives of her children and his wife in an unacceptable and unchangeable way.

He projected his violent tendency onto the world. Therefore, he wanted to protect his daughter form the “big bad world” and form herself too.

He forced her to write a goodbye letter -- I don’t know if it was in the letter, but the wife of Josef F. thought that her daughter had joined a sect and was doing drugs.

Also allegedly he told his daughter and the three children that it was no use trying to escape, and that if something happens to him no one could find them and that some gas will be released in the cellar so they will die either way
