Authorities in Austria are trying to piece together the details of how a 73-year-old man managed to keep his daughter imprisoned in a windowless cellar for 24 years while he repeatedly raped her and fathered her seven children.

She didn't want to be reunited....she was afraid of the wrath of this monster if she talked....they had to ASSURE her he could not have contact with her or her kids......

OK, gotcha...I agree, I see no reason why the authorities would need to reunite her with him. Thanks for the clarification--I knew you didn't mean anything rude, I just was confused as to what you meant.

Essentially. Do you blame her? That must have been an extremely horrifying experience...like Donna said--sometimes I'm ashamed to be a part of the human race...especially when we claim to be oh so civilized...
