Ok it seems like this is an appropriate time to question why this thread has been allowed.

GB raised the point in another thread.

I think it was valid.

So I will ask since a moderator just posted and is still on line that this thread be closed as it is obviously directed at a specific member and that is not allowed here.

I would expect this thread now to be closed post haste and not have to complain to the other mods

If not then I have found a new playground to practice my alleged "Terrorist" tactics.

Well then, I'll do my public service and save the admins some time:

As you all know, the Community Moderators were selected to keep an eye on things so that these forums would not be shut down. I don't think we need to go down that road again. Their job is not an easy one because of the very nature of these forums and the different personalities that make up this diverse community.

Moderating is not always cut and dry but for the most part, they have been fair, lenient and tolerant when dealing with certain individuals and/or situations and I think most of you are very well aware of that. However, when they deem it necessary to intervene in any given situation, we expect that their directives will be followed and they will be shown all due respect. If you do not agree with a moderator's decision then please address the issue with either Candy or CookieGal.

Thats your interpretation, and it makes absolutely no sense. The fact remains that Mulder makes claims about how many people we have saved, both here and in Iraq that can not be backed up by anything that is even vaguely objective. It's all conjecture and merely brought up to attack Poochee. Not too complex.

Threads are not normally closed because a poster in the thread (not the thread starter) requests it. Imagine what it would be like here if anyone could request someone else's thread be closed!

bull........ it matters not who made the request.

This thread is in direct violation of the rules. either you do not know the rules or are too squeamy to close the thread. Or....... you have a bias which makes you incable of making a reasonable judgment.

Just a note to those who really would like to help keep this community clean. If you see something that you feel is not appropriate, there is a small text link named "report" that you click on to bring something to ALL the moderators and Admin's attention. Posting on the thread itself and complaining about it is generally pretty useless, since it's impossible to peruse every thread. And once someone posts, as mod did here earlier, they usually move on, and thus would not always see later posts. And finally, it's generally accepted that unless a mod happens upon something (which doesn't always happen) that they, personally feels needs attention (which does not always happen), or someone reports it, a borderline thread/post may be passed over since it does not seem to bother people enough to generate a report. Of course, stronger consideration of a report is given to either the one who started the thread, or someone who feels personally attacked in the thread.

Understanding and acting on the above would save a great deal of time and be far more productive.

Now, that all being said, and since I happened upon this, it's my opinion that this thread is no longer of any use, Mulder is not around to answer LJ, it's become a random thread, and there is nowhere further for this thread to go as a "debate" nor is Mulder around presently to defend anything about himself that may be posted in this thread.........so we'll be closing it.
