Why Won't Mulder Respond?
I have been challenging Mulder to do the following:

1. Tell us how many Iraq civilians have died as a result of the US invasion
2. Tell us how many Iraqi civilians have fled Iraqi as a result of the US invasion.
3. Tell us how many Iraqi civilians have lost their homes as a result of the US invasion.
4. Tell us how he figures the number of Iraqi people saved by our invasion what is the statistical basis for his claims?
5. Tell us how he correlates no homeland terrorist attacks with the Iraqi invasion. Surely he must know that major terrorist attacks of the US normally take many years to plan. Could he also tell us how many terrorist attacks there have been in Europe since the invasion of Iraq.

Yes, everyone that has read those relevant threads has seen you ask those questions. And while most of the time, the majority of questions posed are answered by the those the questions were directed to, there is, however, absolutely no mandate or requirement for any forum member to answer all (or even any) questions posed to them by another forum member. Therefore, if Mulder does not answer those questions, that is his right.

You, or anyone, can type questions to Mulder 'till your fingers bleed, but that does not in any way require Mulder to answer them. To do so, however, would make the questioner seem a bit maniacal and stalker-ish.

How many European civilians died because of our invasion of Normandy and subsequent sweep across Europe to Berlin?
How many Europeans fled their homes as a result of the US invasion?
How many Europeans lost their homes as a result of the US invasion?
Tell us how you figure the number of European people saved by our invasion?
Tell us how you correlate no US soil attacks with the Normandy invasion?
Could you also tell us how many terrorist attacks there have been in Europe since the invasion of Normandy?

Germany never attacked US soil.
I guess WW2 was just a waste of US resources costing the earth 52 million lives.

Evil Americans!

I think this is a math question
You take the number of civilians that moved divided by the CIA budget reduction and multiply that number by the number of inacurate forecasts they made, then add the graves of political prisoners and subtract the number of roadside bombs found,
That equasion makes some majic number above which a war is moral/ below which a war is immoral.
Only a few liberal politicians know what that majic number is

Fryzbo, yup----they have been doing it for years. When you point out that it is entirely different then WW2 they seldom respond. Just keep going on with their talk radio drivel.

Identical? no.
Similar in the context of the discussion? Definitely.

Will you please elaborate. You took the questions posed, and replaced the country of Iraq with the continent Europe and stated that the country Germany never attacked US soil. I might be a bit slow today, but if you could elaborate on the similarities I'd appreciate it.

The Blitz was the sustained bombing of Britain by Nazi Germany between 7 September 1940 and 10 May 1941, in World War II. While the "Blitz" hit many towns and cities across the country, it began with the bombing of London for 57[1] nights in a row. By the end of May 1941, over 43,000 civilians, half of them in London, had been killed by bombing[2] and more than a million houses destroyed or damaged in London alone.[3]

Both are wars involving a US invasion against a country that had not attacked the US.
Both contain a major US grounbd invasion.
Both were the result of a madman trying to take over the world. (Hussein, not Bush. I know you were dying to go there)
Both have a percentage of civilian suffering. WW2 far, far more.

BTW, the thread-starter asked "Tell us how many Iraqi civilians have fled Iraqi as a result of the US invasion."
I'd like to know the answer to that. I would bet that many have returned to Iraq.

One big difference, Germany was a stated ally of a country that DID attack the US.

Could be argued that there was an indirect attack as Japan did attack the US. I would say the statement is true, it's also true of other wars in US history.

This is true of many wars in US history

If Hussein was trying to take over the world, he was doing a terrible job. Hitler was not just trying, but for a time succeeding. It's also debatable if he was mad.

Can you name a single war in history that did not involve civilian suffering?

I think that the thing this war and WWII have most in common is the fact they are wars. Besides that they are more different then they are similar.

I would like to know the answers to all the questions, they may be surprising. You are right people may be returning and citizens may feel safer I really don't know, which is scary. The fact that the US is currently fighting a war and I can go through an entire day without noticing it.
