Come on, world. You can do it.

Say, “Thank you, Israel.”

Hayden: Syrian site could have produced fuel for 2 weapons.

Quote:
WASHINGTON - CIA Director Michael Hayden said Monday that the alleged Syrian nuclear reactor destroyed by an Israeli airstrike in September would have produced enough plutonium for one or two bombs within a year of becoming operational.

U.S. intelligence and administration officials publicly disclosed last week their assessment that Syria was building a covert nuclear reactor with North Korean assistance. They said it was modeled on the shuttered North Korean reactor at Yongbyon, which produced a small amount of plutonium. The Syrian site, they said, was within weeks or months of being operational.

“In the course of a year after they got full up they would have produced enough plutonium for one or two weapons,” Hayden told reporters after a speech at Georgetown University.
Thank you, Israel!

So wait...Syria was 1-2 years away from a nuclear bomb, North Korea HAS at least one nuclear bomb, and Iran is, as stated by the IAEA, 10 years away from a bomb, while Iraq had NO atomic, nuclear, or even chemical abilities beyond what WE gave them. Yet we attacked Iraq and are now saying Iran should be next....

Syria supports terrorism as policy, North Korea has murals of missiles striking the US, and we attack the country that had no weapons and did not support terrorism. What of Bush's speech saying he would attack anyone who supported terrorism?

Why do people STILL believe him? He has never told the truth to the American people, ever.

Bush is like a hemorhoid for you, that you can't seem to stop scratching.

How'z about washing your hands and comment on the story, rather than using every post to continue your obsession with hating the President?

Hmmm

Israel police seize Olmert papers

Israeli police have raided Jerusalem's city hall to seize documents from Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's time as mayor.

Mr Olmert is accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from a US businessman during his time as Jerusalem mayor from 1993-2003.

Mr Olmert has admitted accepting donations from Moshe Talansky for election campaigns but said he took no money for himself.

He is already being investigated in several other corruption scandals.

Police were also questioning Mr Talansky on Monday.

Resignation calls

The accusations have cast doubt on Mr Olmert's ability to conclude a peace agreement with the Palestinians.

Last November, Mr Olmert, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and US President George W Bush pledged to reach a peace deal that would create a Palestinian state by the end of 2008.

Mr Olmert has said he would only resign if prosecutors filed criminal charges.

Olmert says understandings reached in peace talks
Tue May 13, 2008 2:52pm EDT

By Adam Entous and Ari Rabinovitch

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Tuesday he and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had reached "understandings and points of agreement" on some key issues in U.S-backed peace talks.

Olmert gave no details. Faced with a police bribery investigation that could force him from office, Olmert is keen to show progress in the talks during this week's visit by U.S. President George W. Bush.

His assertion that some agreements have been reached ran counter to recent statements by top Palestinian officials.

"Our talks with the Palestinian Authority are serious and significant," Olmert said in a speech to visiting world leaders on the eve of Bush's arrival.

"There has been significant progress, and understandings and points of agreement have been reached in important matters, but not on all the issues," Olmert said.

I am all for a 2-State peace solution. I simply don't think that Israel should carve up Jerusalem.
