Excessive force, lack of judgment, aggravated assault, etc., etc., etc.

I hope these officers go to jail and are not fired.

Parents of the three men - all from North Philly - expressed outrage yesterday.

They said that their sons were on their way back home after attending a prayer vigil for their friend, Andrew Coach, who was killed Sunday.
Yea that's it, they were at a prayer vigil. Four guys carrying guns, all with prior convictions just happened to shoot up some men on their way home from a prayer vigil.

even if they had just shot the pope. the men were not resisting why kick them several times while on the floor? I can tell you kicking a suspect is not in any U.S. police handbook.

Police watched as four men got out of a gold Mercury Grand Marquis and walked to the corner. One of them then fired upon three other men standing on the corner. The man who fired took off running and his three companions got back in the Grand Marquis and drove off, with police in pursuit, Ramsey said.

That's when police pulled over Hall, Dyches and Hopkins, Ramsey said.

My question is were the arrested in a car of this description? Did they display weapons?

Regardless, this is police brutality and there is no excuse for it. Thank God for video!

PS...I am on dial-up and can't view YouTube so this is based on the news article.

No, one does not have a criminal record. And there were 3 guys in the car. Get your facts straight and you won't be called out as a liar.

True ONE person did not have a criminal record. Two definitely did, and the FOURTH person is still at large as he ran from the scene.

But I guess given that the driver didn't have a criminal record it's possible they were at a prayer vigil and all four are truly upstanding citizens and it's all a coincidence they were involved in a shooting.

By the way, it is also not illegal to carry a gun so long as it is properly licensed. And so long as the individual is not a felon and only convicted of a misdemeanor, it is not illegal for them to own a gun. (And dependent on local laws, not illegal for them to have a gun in the car).

"gun" does not equate one with being a criminal. That's the liberal media spin....

Regardless of past criminal convictions, dragging individuals from their car and beating them on the street and sidewalk is illegal. The police force is not a mob and does not act with the mob mentality. Their actions showcase a total lack of professionalism, respect for the law, and for themselves.

Have any of you bleeding hearts been to Filly lately? They are experiencing record rates of shootings and killings, in the black community. Would you want these cops nearby if you needed help, or the guys in that car? Move into that neighborhood and live there for a year before you judge those cops from your insulated ivory towers.

What does crime in Philly have to do with an unnecessary beat down of civilians? Of course, we understand that cops work under very trying circumstances, but the fact remains that the vast majority never stoop to the level of brutality that these miscreants did. Using your ridiculous logic, a postal worker who shoots up the mail room should be forgiven because he works under difficult circumstances. You are a monument to everything that is wrong with right wing America.

My oldest brother was a cop in Detroit and a cousin was a detective in Chicago (vice). They didn't resort to brutality to bring them in. No excuse for this.
