It is just this type of information that I fear is no longer useful for conservatives. If you look at the three open congressional seats that the GOP has lost in special election this year, it is this type of stuff that was used. It no longer works.

We need to consider talking about real things. Like how well the war is going. John McCain needs to talk about how we found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

This BS about Obama, the United Nations and guns is pretty shallow.

Rather, a deep conversation led by Mc Cain about ethanol production and using corn to fuel our gas tanks would be awesome.

Not at all, just stop trying to justify what other candidates or politicians do by saying "well, the current administration...".

I can't figure you out--but that last part that I left quoted....NOT a good idea. If John McCain is so sure of his victory, and wants to talk about full-blown replacements for gasoline/diesel, that would be one thing...however, throwing our even more necessary food at the fuel crisis isn't going to help anything. If they do that you may not be spending it at the pump, but you'll be spending it every time you buy groceries--meats, milk, pasta--the list goes on....those will all be affected. Would you rather drive cheaper or eat cheaper?

I think we DO need to come up with something besides oil to keep this country going, but we need a replacement, not a bad substitution.

Hmmmm, I am an old fashioned conservative. I do not pump myself up and spew garbage to make myself look tough.

Science will come up with a solution for the food issue. The most important thing is not to disrupt our economy.

We need our corporations earning money and creating jobs.

I remember a song from Ronald Reagans's day, "Don't Worry, Be Happy". if I recall.

First, the corn we are talking about is feed corn not corn for human consumption. A shift from wheat to corn production is temporary at best. Further, we grow more wheat then we can consume. End the media hype and the price of food staples will reduce. The use of farm land to feed cattle, from a food production standpoint, is inefficient and economically counter-intuitive.

WOW!! According to last nights (5/15) Colbert Report - Barack Obama is a secret time travelling Nazi Muslim!! Another solid reason for the weak minded not to vote for The Magic Negro.

Obama to us UN to disarm Americans
This is just in from Sen. Coburn's office. Obama has authored a bill, and it is now in the Senate, to give the UN .7% of our GNP to be used to feed hungry 3rd worlders, AND to use UN force to disarm you and me and all gun owners. No one in the media has brought this to the attention of the general sheeple out here.

Subject: RE: Obama's bill S2433 passed the committee and going to the Senate
Senator Coburn is blocking this bill.
As a conservative it saddens me that we stoop so quickly to this level. What it does is create mistrust in the people that may run our government. Then, once in office the public policy debate and possible solutions to our problems are delayed.

This is true of the right as well as the left. As a conservative though, I call upon my wing to move to the conservative center again and reject this type of hyperbole. This muct be done for the good of the country.,
