Obama or McCain ..or
Who will be the next president of the United States and why do you think they'll be the one?

Also, I'd be interested in hearing if it's your personal choice or just how you think it will play out.
Me for example, I'm afraid Obama will win.
I do think McCain would make the better president but because of being tied so close to Bush and being rather old (all primarily according to the media) I don't think he will win.

Time will tell, but who do you think will win and will it be the best possible choice for the future of the US?

I voted other, not because that's who I think will win, but that's who I want to win. In the end it might end up McCain.

I have to agree with you on this. Our lack of quality choices is frightening.

Who did you have in mind that you would want to win?

Duh on my part. I guess I should have put her but since she officially won't be on the ballot I didn't include her or Romney or Huckabee or Edwards etc. None of the ones who ran and dropped out.
Hillary did go further than all the others so she does deserve a spot. Oversight on my part.

Edit to add:
I tried to edit the poll but could not find a way to do it. Sorry.

No need to be sorry ,--- including anyone but McCain and Obama is silly .
One will be President , others mean nothing , and your poll is a good thing .
I have noticed that polls here do not always reflect what is on street , but good anyway .
My belief , Barrack Obama will be next President of The United States . >f

I say let Castro into the States and elect him. Logically and emotionally he is as good a choice as any other I have seen lately.

Well look at this way, if he makes it ashore we'll give instant citizenship. We can always move him in with Fidelista his adoring fan.

I think that many of the people who voted for Obama in the democratic primaries were actually casting anti-Hillary votes or anti-four-more-years-of-the-Clinton-scandals votes. Many of the votes that Obama received were Republicans crossing-over-to-create-mischief votes.

I think when McCain and Obama go head-to-head discussing actual issues, that Obama's inexperience and naivete will be more apparent.

Getting almost all the black votes will not help Obama because democrats always get almost all the black votes, so that will make no difference. Getting almost all the feminist votes will not help Obama because democrats always get almost all the feminist votes, so that will make no difference. Of those women's votes that are not based on feminist issues, I think McCain will do well, including some votes that might have gone to Hillary. Being black will cost Obama votes. I don't think this is a racist nation, but in close presidential elections such as the last two, the loss of a couple percent of usual Democratic votes could mean the election.

My gut tells me that John McCain will be our next president.

If I am wrong, and Obama is our next president, I think he will Kennedyesque in style but Carteresque in substance.

I'm expecting a large abtention from Clinton's supporters as the Democrats party has been seriously harmed during the primaries. McCain is more likely to be the next POTUS.
