Dialogue with Sam Nunn and Colin Powell
I didn't know where to place this in a current thread, but it's 5 parts and is a very interesting discussion.

Smart people examine all sides of an issue before making decisions.

Since you apparently fear a link from the Huffington Post to the Aspen Institute videos, they are also online at Youtube.

poochee, it's just a totally nonpartisan discussion with two very well educated men rationally discussing U.S. foreign and domestic policy, world economics, politics, etc.

I'm sure many people not interested in these issues would find the videos totally boring.

So you visit skinhead.com, ultraneocon.net, and rushlimbaugh.com before you make a decision? And you're not smart if you don't?

Huffpost is a far left moonbat blog.

Youtube is a gathering site for poo poo of all sorts, not a repository for journalistic integrity of any sort whatsoever.

Youtube is only useful for comedy and music videos.

But for you .... I'll take a brief look.

I just listened to the entire first segment.

I cannot disagree whole heartedly with Powell. Drawdowns will be necessary, and I believe that they will take place. I also agree with him that the Afghanistan/Pakistan border issue is extremely volitile and serious. A surge there would probably be a good idea while we still have support from the Pakistani government. As Pakistan changes governmental Administrations, our stance may be weakened. We should strike that iron while it is hot in the fire.

However, I do not consider Powell to be a Conservative on most issues, and, while I personally like the guy and have great respect for him, I would not place great emphasis on his political recommendations. And as far as I know, he's been removed from "the know" on military issues for several years now.

Sam Nunn is just a douche.
And I have never been highly impressed with the Aspen Institute.

I agreed. Perhaps you didn't read my post but simply assumed that I would disagree?

You seemed to imply you wouldn't go to watch it.

You obviously also missed where I said that I would.

See the last line in post #6 (I have not edited the post) Also re-read my comments in post #7.
