for that matter, now that Carlin is gone, can you name a better satirist than Izzard?

As far as stand up goes, I cannot.

Branson is totally behind private (non-governmental) funded space flight.

He could have a leg growing out of the center of his forehead and I'd still back for that sole fact (the space flight, not the leg).

You've boxed me into a corner there big boy, as I hadn't realised Izzard was a satirist - I thought he was just an irritating little man who'd convinced pissed-up London media types that his stream of consciousness was somehow funny.

I don't follow stand up, but as far as UK satire goes, I'd put Chris Morris, Ian Hislop, Alistair Beaton, and even Sacha Baron Cohen in a league way beyond unsteady Eddie.

ahhh.....sacha cohen is truly a man I cannot stand, either on the screen or standup.....Chris Morris, for all his attempts, has become a bit of an underground hit over here....I enjoy his show immensely......Beaton I don't care for, too radical for me, and Beaton is okie doke, but then, I've only seen one show of his, I believe, and that was quite some time ago.....
