That headline is just a wee bit intellectually dishonest, but again they got it out to their targeted audience...

What is so bad about allowing licensed gun owners to transport their firearms when traveling on Amtrak? It’s not like you’re going to be able to wear it strapped to your hip or something, it’s just like the airlines, it has to be declared while checking bags, proper paper work filled out and it has to be locked inside a hard case that then goes into the cargo compartment in the belly of the airplane.

Well said Bill. I agree 110%

More and more are being allowed to open carry also. Police have been told they cannot harass a person just because he is carrying a gun in the open.
Police are there to clean up the mess after the fact. With a gun you might be able to protect yourself if the situation arises. Hopefully it never will, but if it does wouldn't you rather be prepared?

Citing Risks, U.S. Seeks New Rules for Niche Banks

SALT LAKE CITY — Generations ago, industrialists and financiers extracted fortunes from the copper and gold mines dug into the canyons near here. Now, their modern-day counterparts are resisting a government proposal that could shut down what has become another gold mine of sorts.

Utah is the nation’s unlikely capital of industrial banks — niche institutions that primarily make loans to businesses. Corporations like Goldman Sachs, Target and General Electric have been attracted to the state to set up such institutions. While they have brought billions of dollars in deposits, thousands of jobs and millions in charitable donations to Salt Lake City, the banks have also drawn fire from Washington.

The Obama administration argues that the banks pose a threat to the economy because their parent companies can engage in risky practices but are often exempt from routine scrutiny by the Federal Reserve. Treasury officials want to require the corporate owners of the nation’s 41 industrial banks to accept more rigorous regulation or be forced to sell or shut them down.

Net Neutrality Gets Boost From Key Congressman

Efforts to prevent network operators from blocking or slowing Internet traffic got a boost Thursday morning from Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.), chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, who said he would co-sign a bill that would codify net neutrality.

Don't panic, guys. Just because Faux News makes a big deal out of it to blame the Dems doesn't mean it's that dire a situation. Why not blame Mother Nature for the drought? I'll post a link that gives some details other than a Hannity rant - doesn't seem any worse than what is going on in my area of the country to save the snail darter.
