a lot of people on this board dislike chomsky, but he'd love it in this thread
and i have to say, i think that stella's first -the second i consider facetious -question regarding aborted fetuses and heaven is a fair one, and has so far not been answered except through a framework that assumes abortion to be murder and so disparages the very asking of it.
subtle be our labelling....but there ain't no absolute truth here, imo. |
I'll take a succinct try at this.
If we consider what is said in 1John 2:2 to be true, that Christ's sacrifice is sufficient for the sins of the world...in its entirety, then we can presume that includes children as well, yes?
Moreso, should we take a look at the character of God...one of love, then we can also suggest that those unable to place their lives in Jesus' hands through conscious decision would be covered in that love.
TBH, and to my knowledge, there is no direct scripture that speaks to this. So all I can do is apply what I know about the character of God to the situation and see if it fits. I believe it does.
